The escalating influx of refugees seeking sanctuary and asylum in foreign nations imposes a substantial strain on host countries. The refugee crisis is commonly perceived as a challenge for host nations rather than a crisis inherent to the refugees themselves. This article seeks to examine the accommodation of recent Ukrainian war refugees in European countries, with a particular focus on Germany, aiming to evaluate the realization of acts of hospitality rooted in compassion and a sense of responsibility towards fellow human beings. The paper will commence by scrutinizing the current situation and challenges in Germany pertaining to the lodging of Ukrainian refugees, proposing potential solutions to the refugee issue through a transformative reevaluation of the concept of refugee camps.
