가톨릭 교회의 죽음 이해에 나타난 공동체성

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

According to Catholic understanding of death, humans composed of spirit and body unite through death with the whole world and other living humans as well. In such understanding, there lies the premise of community for both the living and the dead, the recognition of which calls for ethical behaviour of the believers. The idea that either bad or good deeds done to other persons can affect the whole community necessarily asks the believers to follow Christ in their everyday lives. Beyond the dimension of human community, in addition, such a recognition involves the vision of an ecological community as well. For the recognition of cosmic community not merely is a matter among humans but also implies a whole cosmic unity encompassing all living and non-living things within the universe. This means that everything in the universe is linked to one another. Catholic understanding of humans and the universe starts from the unique Christian religious experience, in other words, from the experience of God as the Oneness. The core of God experience lies in the “gratuitousness” in which one can open oneself to the world, and its possibility might be concertized in the recognition that everything in the universe is in union with God.
