Cadastre is a set of information regarding systematically registered data measuring land used in all land management activities.
Nations examine location, classification, category, boundary, area, and ownership of land, register the information in a cadastral book, and must make updates when necessary to properly maintain the information.
Currently, local governments select land lots for alteration by comparing plat with cadastral surveys by hand which makes for inefficient cadastral work.
Also they select land lots for alteration near roads using KLIS road lines which cause missing lots of land.
Therefore, there is a need for a study dealing with efficient selection methods on land lots for alteration using a GIS database based on a digitalized cadastral system.
This study suggests the method of land lot alteration and acquisition cost calculation using the GIS spatial analysis model. The following results are from an analysis of JinAn County.
First, the manual work on land lot alterations was greatly improved by using serial maps and KLIS road lines which allowed GIS spatial overlay to automatically sample the number of lots and area of land by classification and land ownership.
Second, effective selection of land lot alteration was possible as compared to missing parts applied to KLIS road lines when sampling the characteristics of land lot alternation using GIS spatial overlay and the actual-width of the road from the new address system including all the road area for examination.
Third, the GIS buffering method allowed us to analyze land lots for alternation and areas by classification and land ownership within various roadsides ranging from 3m, 5m, and 10m.
Fourth, the Fuzzy membership function calculated by the rate of land incorporated for roads and used for analyzing land lot alternation by setting its sections will be beneficial for local governments who implement its phased projects within its budget.
Last, the method of land lot alteration and calculation of land acquisition costs using GIS spatial analysis model is expected to be used as a manual for future works and should be effective in cadastral survey projects and relevant works because it allows workers to develop more reliable cadastral books.
