임진정계 경계표지 토퇴의 분포와 목극등 지도에 표시된 ‘수출(水出)’의 위치 = A Reinvestigation on Key Issues Associated with the Yimjin(1712) Boundary Making and Demarcation: The Distribution of Soil Piles and the Location of ‘Suchul(水出)’ written on the Mukedeng’s Map

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 현존하는 임진정계 경계표지 토퇴들의 분포와 특징에 대해 보고하고 있다. 그를 통해 목극등 지도에 표시된 ‘수출(水出)’의 위치를 확인하고자 하였다. 흑석구 동남안을 따라 설치된 토퇴들 중 마지막 토퇴의 위치는 대략 북위 42°04′20.09″, 동경 128°16′08.42″이다. ‘도화선 도로변 토퇴군’의 서쪽 시점은 대략 북위 42°02′20.14″, 동경 128°18′53.40″이며, 동쪽 종점의 좌표는 대략 북위 42°01′32.97″, 동경 128°21′24.59″이다. 서쪽 시점에서 약 2.1㎞ 지점까지는 대체적으로 「서-동」의 방향이며, 그 이동은 대체적으로 「서북-동남」 방향이다. 도화선 도로변 토퇴의 총 분포 길이는 실제거리 약 4.2㎞ 정도이다. 목극등 지도에 표시된 ‘수출’의 좌표는 대략 북위 42°01′30.36″, 동경 128°21′33.62″이다. 동쪽 마지막 토퇴의 동남 방향 지도상 평면 직선거리 약 222m 지점이다. 이러한 결과를 근거로 임진정계에 대한 재해석을 시도하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper reports the distribution of soil piles set up during the Yimjin(1712) Boundary Making and Demarcation(YBMD). Through the survey on the distribution of soil piles the location of ‘Suchul’(水出: seepage zone) could be identified. The endpoint soil pile set up on the east-south bank of Heishigou(黑石溝) stream locates on 42°04´20.09˝N, 128°16´08.42˝E. The west beginning point of soil piles distributed in the south side of Tuhexian road locates on 42°02´20.14˝N, 128°18´53.40˝E. And the east endpoint of them locates 42°01´32.97˝N, 128°21´24.59˝E. From the west beginning point to the soil pile located in 2.1km distance from the beginning point, the distribution direction is west-east. The direction of soil piles after them is northwest-southeast. The total real length of soil piles distributed in the south side of Tuhexian(圖和線) road is about 4.2km more or less. The location of ‘Suchul’ written on the Mukedeng’s map locates on 42°01´30.36˝N, 128°21´33.62˝E, The point locates in southeastward 222m distance from the soil piles endpoint of the south side of Tuhexian road. In reference of these reports this paper develops some reinterpretation on the YBMD.
