According to the change of museum’s own function and paradigm which for object-based epistemology to object-based discourse, it needs general understanding of cultural properties of art and art experience education.
Therefore I attention to improvement of current national museum’s problems and effective application plan of museum experience education.
I apply Neo-DBAE based art education which be based on student’s experience and understanding of multilateral value rather than DBAE based art education which be based on teacher’s capability and also be based on four fields which include art production, history of art, art criticism, aesthetic etc.
Apply E. Hooper Greenhill’s relic integrated approaches and Jhon H. Folk and Lynn D. Dierking’s way to interpret value according to situationality, it can be devised suitable education programs in according with 7steps of education program’s developments which suggested by Baek-ryong for actual use in museum .
In the research with investigate a literatures and case studies, I arranged and analyed the educational programs with the order of educational way and the object for education in 2013 in national museum of Korea and the national folk museum of Korea. In the results, there is lack of educational exhibit program for youth in the national folk museum of Korea. This is same result of the SWOT analysis of status in major meseums in Korea. Based on this research, I plan the educational exhibition program for youth with the model of <Special exhibition on beautiful Korean royal silk flower >. In the exhibition, I focused on understanding the context of historical remains.
I choose <Four-Panel Folding Screen of Peonies> and <Ten-Panel Folding Screen of Royal Banquet in the Sinchuk Year> to a most high-valued works for assigning to the Korean royal silk flowers. Theres are in national palace museum of Korea. For the interactive educational exhibitions, I present to teach drawing way for <Four-Panel Folding Screen of Peonies> and making way for <Ten-Panel Folding Screen of Royal Banquet in the Sinchuk Year>
Before to present a teaching plan, I offer a concept and wealth and various kinds of Korean royal silk flowers which can help to understand it. In the presented teaching plan of museum, I propose a multiple exhibition program for each subject. This way expects to visitors to attend more to a museum educational program and it fix the old problem with a continuing exhibition.
I planned to provide more interactive opportunity like seeing and touching the exhibits to visitors. In the way to drawing with Four-Panel Folding Screen of Peonies, visitors can understand the traditional drawing technique and material, the meaning and using of palace decorations and the beauty of traditional five colors of drawing which to make visitors to get closer to the Chosun dynasty. With reproduce the flower in <Ten-Panel Folding Screen of Royal Banquet in the Sinchuk Year>, the audiences can recognize the reality of the presence of intangible cultural heritages. And visitors also could feel and enjoy the beauty natural dyeing and historical culture. Finally visitors have a discussion time for free criticism which can make visitors can have the opportunity for growing artistic sense and understand the educational effect to a social community.
