The previous studies on the impacts of trade liberalization implicitly assume that trade liberalization this year affects economic performance only typically next year. This assumption implies that the effects of trade liberalization end up with static effects. However, econmic theory indicates that the effects of trade liberalization are essentially dynamic. This paper studies the dynamic cumulative effects of trade liberalization by employing the dynamic versioon of the empirical model of growth equation. The empirical results show that the effects of trade liberalizatiion last long time and the dynamic cumulative effects of trade liberalization are larger than static effects.
