Using the system that can interact with remote person or get support from experts by using a robot to educate children with disabilities who have a problem with
mobility or need special intervention, it seems that they can receive professional support promptly without any spatial constrains. In addition, when opinions of
experts in special education field are reflected in the establishment of the robot remote support system, more effective system can be established. Therefore, this
study aims to investigate the special education fields available to such remote support system and necessary functions for each researched field by using Delphi
method, and to propose more effective robot remote support system in special education field. As a result, it was expected that the robot remote support system
can be applied to several special education areas such as content supply for children with disabilities, diagnosis from behavior observation, orientation and mobility training for children with visual impairment, monitoring of children with
disabilities and interaction of autistic children. In addition, to summarize the conclusions of this study, it has shown that the customized robot system equipped with only necessary functions in accordance with the purpose will be
more appropriate than the general-purpose system as the robot system available to special education areas.
