청소년 자원봉사활동 참여형태에 따른 만족도와 지속성에 관한 연구-울산광역시를 중심으로 = A Study on Juveniles' Satisfaction with, and their Continuity, of Volunteer Activities by Participation Type - Mainly on the area in Ulsan -

This research sought to determine whether juveniles' coterie-type and small-group-type volunteer activities had effects on their continuity of and satisfaction with such activities. The finding revealed that the coterie- and small-group participation types showed a statistically significant difference from the control group in terms of the contents of activities. Regression analysis found that such participation types had negative effects on the meeting of expectation and work appropriateness, but positive effects on work recognition.
Also, juveniles under such participation types were placed under positive influence from social factors like relations with clients, and coteries' and their family members' friends. Likewise, although the small group and the coterie participation type were placed under negative influence in terms of the meeting of expectation and work appropriateness in activities contents, they had greater satisfaction with and continuity of volunteer activities compared to the control group, due to positive influences like work recognition, coterie support, and family members' support. Also, the small group and the coterie participation type had direct, positive effects on juveniles' satisfaction with and continuity of volunteer activities, enabling juveniles to continue their volunteer activities.
The finding indicates that juveniles' volunteer activities take the form of volunteer learning, and that even small group and coterie-type volunteer activities need to make a prior preparation to conduct activities spontaneously, and to ensure various efficient management systems designed to address problems in the course of activities. The research likewise implies that juveniles need to be properly assigned with work at clients' places, programs should be prepared to appropriately respond to juveniles' needs, juveniles' problems and questions should be appropriately addressed, and measures should be taken to guide juveniles' activities with interest.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년 봉사활동 참여형태 중 동아리형태와 소집단형태의 봉사활동은 청소년봉사활동의 지속성과 만족정도에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 분석의 결과 소집단과 동아리 참여형태는 활동내용관련요인에서 비교집단과 유의미한 평균의 차이가 있었으며 기대합치도, 업무 적절도에는 부정적인 영향을 받고 있었고 업무 인식도에서는 긍정적 영향을 받고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 클라이언트와의 관계, 동아리나 가족친구로부터의 사회적 요인에 의한 긍정적 영향을 받고 있었다. 즉 소집단과 동아리 참여형태는 활동내용관련내용의 기대합치도, 업무 적절도에서 부정적인 영향을 받고 있음에도 불구하고 업무인식, 동아리지지, 가족친구의 지지의 긍정적 영향으로 인해 만족도나 지속성은 비교집단에 비해 만족도와 지속성이 높은 것으로 나타났고 또 소집단과 동아리 참여형태는 만족도나 지속성에 전체적으로는 직접적인 긍정적 영향을 주어 청소년의 자원봉사를 지속적으로 하게 하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 발견은 청소년의 자원봉사활동은 봉사학습의 형태를 띄게 되고 소집단과 동아리형태의 자원봉사라 할지라도 청소년이 봉사학습에 대한 자율적인 활동을 하게 하는 전 단계의 준비와, 활동과정상에 나타날 수 있는 여러 가지 효율적인 관리체계의 마련이 필요하며 즉 수요처에서의 적절한 업무배치, 청소년의 욕구에 적절한 대응을 하는 프로그램 준비 등의 활동과정상 나타나는 문제점이나 의문점 등에 대한 적절한 대응 등 청소년의 봉사활동 자체를 관심 있게 지도하는 관리과정이 있어야 함을 시사한다.
