스마트폰을 이용한 경찰서비스 활용방안 연구 = A study on police services using smart phone

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Toady, people can enjoy their convenient lives for internet. But they must go to a PC connected to internet to use it. So they want to use it anywhere, any time they want. And wireless internet technology and ubiquitous came newly. The police are planning for the 'U-Police'.
Now smart phone is the one of the hottest items in the world. Governments as well as corporations and the media provide smart phone with web-service and applications.
There are many different service in the internet homepages managed by the police. In this study I surveyed the opinions for those service by smart phone. And I divided 12 services into 4 parts, criminal Investigation, publice safety, traffic, police administration. The result of survey is as follows.
First, Most people think that it is useful to use smart phone for the police service. Few people think that isn't.
Second, the number of smart phone users(potential users) who answered that it was useful is more. It seems that the users(potential users) have a high comprehension for the new services.
Third, the expected use is lower in the police public relations but this area is very important. Therefore, the police will have to plan for various ways to use it.
Forth, 92.5% of smart phone users(potential users) answered that it would make the police image better. And 87.2% of people have no plan to buy smart phones answered that it would. No one answered that it wouldn't.
This study will be useful resource about the police services by smart phone. It is necessary that the police investigate the demand and plan the useful services for people completely.
