    Physical characteristics and antibacterial activity of four middle insole materials(K, G-1, G-2, U) for dress shoes were determined in this study. Peak pressure of four dress shoes(K, G-1, G-2, U) during walking was analyzed using insole pressure measurement system.
    U middle insole material revealed the superiority in the water absorption and elongation property. G-1 middle insole material showed the better characteristics in the tensile strength and tear strength. It was found that the four middle insole materials used in this study have the excellent antibacterial activity.
    The maximum pressure was calculated for each dress shoes based on foot pressure. The fore foot region was the high peak pressure among other areas in the dress shoes. Resulted also showed the U middle insole material was the better shock absorption property among other middle insole materials.
