생태학적 관점에 따른 사회자본과 아동발달 사이의 관계 = An Ecological Perspective and the Relationship between Social Capital and Child Development

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Healthy development of children has been an important component of positive parenting. But not only individual and family-related factors but also aggregate factors such as neighborhood or community characteristics have influence on child development, and accordingly an ecological perspective, which takes a developing child and his/her surrounding nested multiple contexts into consideration, is attracting due attention. In this case, the concept of social capital can be crucial for enhancing child development, and it has been usefully applied to a variety of areas of child welfare so far. Yet relevant studies, particularly those on community-level social capital, have been relatively rare in Korea. Therefore this study examines, at an exploratory level, the relationship between various types of social capital and child development. And on the basis of these results, some implications for policy and practices of positive parenting and child(ren)`s social-capital building are suggested in this study.
