글로벌 가치사슬 관점에서 본 한국 철강산업의 부가가치 무역구조 연구 = Measuring Participation of Korea Steel Sector in Global Value Chains

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The analysis measures trade in value-added terms of the Korean steel industry and decomposes value-added exports based on the world input-output database. This is the first of its kind to measure Korean steel trade applying for the perspective of value-added trade. In addition, it compares the value-added trade of Korea and other countries to examine their GVC participation and elevates its utility by visualizing the expansion of GVC using the prevailing network analysis methodology. The analysis result shows that Korea steel sector successfully participated in GVC for past years. But, much of continuing worsening trading condition is keyed recent weakness of GVCs in Korea steel sector.
