만3~5세 유아의 기질 측정을 위한 부모용 검사 도구 개발 연구 = A Study on Development of Child Temperament Rating Scale for Parents: from Age 3 to Age 5

This study aims to develop a generally acceptable measure of young children's temperament that is appropriate for the development stage of young children aged 3-5 years in Korea, Through literature reviews and in-depth interviews with parents, 105 items explaining young children's temperament were constituted. Among them, 20 items which were too obscure to apply to the temperament rating scale, wrongly evaluated, and too difficult to understand the concepts and meanings of temperament, and dependent on social and cultural difference were removed. Total of 85 items were selected as preliminary items. Then, the question items were completed through the test. The temperament rating scale of 36 items developed in this study was composed of 6 factors: adaptability, activity, durability, convertibility, responsiveness, and regularity. And its validity, reliability and correlation coefficients were relatively good, so that it could be explained that it had validity as a test to measure young children's temperament.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국내외 기질에 관련된 연구를 고찰한 후 우리나라 만3〜5세 유아의 발달단계에 맞는 일반적으로 수용 가능한 기질 측정도구를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 문항의 작성을 위해 문헌연구와 부모와의 심층면접을 통하여 유아기질을 설명하는 105문항을 작성하였으며, 기질 평정척도의 적용 대상 연령의 모호함과 평정에 오류가 있는 문항, 사회․문화적 차이에 따라 기질의 구인을 찾기 어려운 20문항을 제거하여 총85문항을 예비문항으로 선정하였다. 그리고 본 검사를 통하여 문항을 확정하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 부모용 유아 기질 평정척도는 총36문항이며, 6개 하위요인(적응성, 활동성, 지속성, 전환성 반응성, 규칙성)으로 구성되었다. 개발된 도구의 타당도, 신뢰도, 하위영역 간 상관계수들은 비교적 양호하였으므로 유아의 기질을 측정하기 위한 도구로서 타당하다고 볼 수 있다.
