The relationship between science and mass media can be often ignored. However mass media plays an important role to foster citizen's scientific mind or encourage (sometimes discourage) scientist's research desire. Mass media sometimes criticizes scientific communities in terms of budgetary fraud or ill use of public fund. On the other hand news paper or TV broadcast urge government to invest more budget for strengthening national innovative capabilities. Mass media can be viewed as windows of governmental scientific policies in a sense that government scientific policies often released through printed media or visual media. This paper analyses the multiple aspects of relations between mass media and scientific policies through empirical content analysis and various comparative government policy studies.
