삼차신경통의 바이오마커 추이 분석 = Trend of Biomarkers in Trigeminal Neuralgia

국문 초록 (Abstract)

바이오마커는 임상 분야에서 널리 적용되는 지표이나, 삼차신경통과 관련된 연구는 부족하다. 삼차신경통 환자들에게 신경차단술과 고주파 열 응고술을 시행하였을 때 통증이 의미 있게 감소하는지 관찰하고, 또한 바이오마커들도 유의미한 변화를 보이는지 알아보고자 한다. 본 연구는 15명의 삼차신경통 환자와 15명의 대조군의 혈액을 기반으로 인터루킨-6, 혈관 활성 장내 폴리펩타이드, 물질 P, 칼시토닌 유전자 관련 펩타이드를 분석하였다. 삼차신경통이 진단된 후, 신경 차단술과 고주파 열 응고술 시행 후, 총 3번에 걸쳐 혈액을 채취하였다. 혈액을 통해 바이오마커를 분석하였고, 대조군과 삼차신경통 군의 기저치와 삼차신경통 군의 치료를 진행하면서 변화를 비교하였다. 환자들의 통증은 신경 차단술과 고주파 열 응고술 이후에 모두 감소하였다. 4가지 바이오마커 모두에서 신경 차단술과 고주파 열 응고술 전후에 유의미한 차이가 관찰되지 않았다. 결과적으로 삼차신경통 군에서 신경 차단술과 고주파 열 응고술 이후에 통증이 줄어들었지만, 바이오마커들의 수치에는 유의미한 차이를 확인할 수 없었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Biomarkers are widely utilized in the medical field. However, conclusive biomarkers have not been established related to chronic pain. This study aims to observe whether pain significantly decreases in patients with trigeminal neuralgia subsequent to nerve block and radiofrequency thermocoagulation, and to determine if there are significant changes in biomarkers as well. Blood samples were collected sequentially 3 times, following diagnosis, nerve block, and after radiofrequency thermocoagulation. Using collected blood, four biomarkers were analyzed via enzyme linked immunoassay. After nerve block and radiofrequency ablation, the patients' pain was reduced. In all four biomarkers studied, there were no statistically significant differences before and after trigeminal nerve block and radiofrequency thermocoagulation. In conclusion, this study demonstrated significant reduction of pain after the nerve block and radiofrequency thermocoagulation. However, any biomarkers did not show any significant differences before and after procedure.
