한국판 스포츠 도덕적 이탈 척도의 타당화 검증 = Validation of Korean Modified Version of Moral Disengagement in Sport Scale

The purpose of this study was to verify whether the moral disengagement scale of Boardley and Kavussanu(2007), developed based on social cognition theories, can be used in Korean sports situations. In Study 1, the validation of the scale was tested on the team sports(soccer, rugby, basketball) and the individual sport(Taekwondo) in Study 2. The results were as follows. First, a series of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis on different moral disengagement models, 4 higher-order factor structure of moral disengagement(cognitive restructuring, minimizing responsibility for action, distortion of negative consequence, dehumanization) confirmed by best fitted model on the data. Secondly, all moral disengagement sub-factors were positively correlated with antisocial behavior toward the teammate/opponent, and controlled motivation, but were negatively correlated with autonomous motivation. Third, the moral disengagement level was shown that the rugby player was higher than the football and basketball player, and the difference according to career was the highest among the athletes of 7 to 11 years.
