구하 독립운동의 자료, 개요와 성격

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 고찰은 통도사의 고승인 구하의 독립운동에 관련된 내용을 정리 한 글이다. 구하는 근현대기 통도사를 대표하는 고승이다. 그는 중앙 불교 교단에서도 총무원장, 중앙학림 학장, 조계종 고문을 역임한 인 물이다. 그런데 그의 항일, 친일에 대한 논란이 1920년대 중반부터 있 었다. 그래서 이 글에는 다음과 같은 초점을 갖고 구하의 독립운동의 자료에 대한 내용을 정리하고자 했다. 첫째, 한국 현대사에서 불교 친일 문제가 논란이 되었던 개요를 정 리하였다. 그래서 그 관련 인물들의 논란 내용을 살펴보았다. 둘째, 구 하 독립운동을 보여주는 자료를 살펴보았다. 그는 1951년과 1952년에 작성된 문건이다. 셋째, 구하 독립운동의 자료가 대중화되는 과정을 살펴보았다. 즉 그 자료들이 언제, 어디에서, 누구에 의해 자료집에 수 록되고, 언론에 발표되었는지를 유의했다. 넷째, 구하가 친일파라는 혐 의에서 극복되는 과정을 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 통도사에서 구하를 친일파로 선정된 것에서 구해내기 위한 노력을 정리하였다. 이상과 같이 서술된 이 글이 근현대기 통도사, 구하의 생애와 독립 운동, 불교계 항일과 친일의 문제 등에 활용되길 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This review summarizes the contents related to the independence movement under the high approval of Tongdosa Temple. Guha(九河) is a high priest representing Tongdosa(통도사) Temple in modern and contemporary times. He also served as the head of the general affairs office, dean of the Central Hakrim, and advisor to the Jogye Order in the Central Buddhist Church. However, there has been controversy over his anti-Japanese and pro-Japanese since the mid-1920s. So, in this article, I tried to summarize the contents of the data of the independence movement under Gu with the following focus. First, the outline of the controversy over the pro-Japanese issue of Buddhism in modern Korean history is summarized. So, we looked at the controversy of the related characters. Second, we looked at the data showing the Guha Independence Movement. He is a document written in 1951 and 1952. Third, we looked at the process of popularizing the data of the Guha Independence Movement. In other words, it was noted when, where, and by whom the materials were included in the archives and published in the media. Fourth, the process of overcoming the allegation that Guha is pro-Japanese group was examined in detail. Efforts to save Guha from being selected as pro-Japanese group from Tongdosa Temple were summarized. I hope that this article described as above will be used for modern and contemporary Tongdosa, the life and independence movement of Guha, and the issues of anti-Japanese and pro-Japanese Buddhism.
