Current urban transportation problem in Korea reaches a vary serious situation.
Among many things which cause the problem, rapid increase of private automobile use in the urban area can be regarded as a major reason.
In this context, this study analyzes urban transportation pricing policy as a way of regulating excessive use of private automobile use in the urban area.
Especially, the urban transportation pricing policy is analyzed in terms of; its theoretical justification, the measurement of efficient price, the equity problem, and the barriers which prevent the policy from its implementation.
