취침전 책 읽어주기 활동과 어머니 - 유아의 언어적 상호작용이 유아의 문해 발전에 미치는 효과 = Effects of Bedtime Storybook Reading and Mother - Child Linguistic Interaction on Children's Literacy Development

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 취침 전 책 읽어주기 활동과 어머니-유아의 언어적 상호작용이 유아의 문해발달에 미치는 효과를 알아보는 것이다. 연구문제는, 첫째, 취침 전 책 읽어주기 활동이 어머니-유아의 언어적 상호작용에 영향을 미치는가? 둘째, 취침 전 책 읽어주기 활동과 어머니-유아의 언어적 상호작용 수준이 유아의 문해 발달에 영향을 미치는가? 를 설정하였다. 본 연구의 대상은 K시에 소재한 두 유치원의 4세 유아 각각 30명씩 60명과 그들의 어머니들이었다. 검사도구는 문해 발달의 하위요소 검사 및 어머니 - 유아의 언어적 상호작용 검사이다. 수집된 자료는 문해 발달 효과를 검증하기 위해 사전 검사를 공변인으로 한 공변량 분석의 방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 이상의 연구 결과는 취침 전 책 읽어주기 활동이 어머니-유아의 언어적 상호작용을 증진하는 데 효과가 있었으며, 위의 두 요인은 유아의 문해 발달을 증진 하는데 효과가 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate how much bedtime storybook reading activities and mother-child linguistic interaction affected children's literacy development.
Following the purpose of the study, two research questions were set up as follows:
1. Would bedtime storybook reading activities have influence on mother-child linguistic interaction?
2. Would bedtime storybook reading activities and mother-child linguistic interaction level have influence on children's literacy development?
The subjects were sixty four-year-old children in two kindergarten and their mothers. The research instrument used to investigate children's literacy development in the pre-and post-tests were tests for reading, vocabulary, sentence comprehension, and writing which were the subordinate factors of literacy development. Also, mother-child linguistic interaction test was done.
Collected data were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance which adopted the pre-test scores as a covariate in order to test the effects of bedtime storybook reading activities and mother-child linguistic interaction on literacy development.
The findings were as follows:
1. There were significant differences in the scores of mother-child linguistic interaction between children who participated in bedtime storybook reading activities and the others who did not.
2. There were significant effects between bedtime storybook reading activities and mother-child linguistic interaction level on the scores of children's literacy development.
