네일아트 일러스트레이션에 관한 연구 = A Study on Nail Art Illustration

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Modern 'Nail Art Illustration(in other words Nail Make-up)' was introduced to Korea more than 10 years ago and it has become ordinary affair to most korean women, while there are few studies in this field. Under these circumstances, this study was done to search qualitative and sound developments of the nail art illustration in korea. To grasp the present situation of the korean women's nail art illustration in daily life, a questionnaire was made from March 1, 2005 to March 15, 2005, collecting 253 out of 300 survey sheets successfully. The results of analysis and conclusions are as follows ;
1. The nail art illustration of Korea is at the early stage of popularization. This fact implies that theoretical and scientific foundations be required to be positively offered for the qualitative development and sound adaptation of the modern nail art illustration in Korea.
2. Beauty, Cleanness and Getting rid of stress are the common perceptions and purposes of visiting nail art shop among korean women.
3. At present, Hand painting, Marbling and Rhine stone gems in the order of preference are the most popular nail art techniques. Meanwhile, their occupancy of the greater part of popularity showed that nail art techniques in korea have not yet been diversified. In the future, Air blush, Design sculpture and Rhine stone gems are the most preferred techniques, reflecting that desire to change the nail art techniques are very high, consequently necessitating positive developments and spreads of new techniques.
4. For the patterns of nail art illustration, flower and abstract are the most preferred ones, summing up their preferences ranging from 80.4% to 93.4% by age groups. This shows it is not too much to say that koreans have only two types of pattern and implies that patterns are neither diversified nor individualized so far.
5. For the colors of nail art illustration, pink is turned out to be typically preferred one. Meanwhile pink, beige, red and white in the order of preference rank high with a great portion in popularity, showing korean's narrow choices in nail colors.
6. For fashion items to harmonize with nail art illustration, color and design of dress are thought to be mostly considered, while the answer ' Anything will do' taking the second place.
Meanwhile, for the question 'if neither fashion nor TPO(time, place, opportunity or occasion) is considered, what will be the basis to choose daily nail art illustration?', the answer 'As their humor dictates' showed the highest frequency. This revealed that choice of daily nail art illustration is very irregular. It is, therefore, suggested that the whole domestic nail industry is to make every effort on the base of cosmetic color and figurative arts theories to guide ordinary women in their nail art illustration to the proper and sound direction.
A profound study - to enable ordinary women to make their choice properly - on the relations among nail art illustration, TPO and total fashion is proposed as future study direction.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 우리나라에 네일아트 일러스트레이션이 도입된 지 십 수 년을 지나면서 대부분의 여성들에게 친숙하게 되었으나 네일아트 일러스트레이션의 질적인 발전과 건전한 토착화를 위한 국내의 관련 연구가 미비한 점에 문제의식을 갖고 우리나라 네일아트 일러스트레이션의 현상과 문제점을 파악하고 발전 방향을 모색하고자 하였으며, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1. 우리나라의 네일아트 일러스트레이션이 대중화 초기 단계이며, 질적인 발전과 건전화 토착화를 위하여 이론적 · 과학적 토대 제공이 적극적으로 요청된다.
2. 아름다움, 청결 및 스트레스 해소 등이 네일아트 일러스트레이션 서비스에 대한 여성들의 공통된 인식과 목적으로 조사되었다.
3. 현재 가장 선호하는 기법은 핸드 페인팅, 마블링, 인조보석 순으로 나타났으며 집중도가 매우 높아 우리나라의 네일아트 일러스트레이션 기법이 아직 다양화되지 못한 것으로 분석되었다.
장래에 받아보고 싶은 기법은 에어 브러쉬, 디자인 스컵쳐, 인조 보석 순으로 나타나, 우리나라 여성들의 네일아트 일러스트레이션 기법에 대한 변화의 욕구가 매우 높았으며 앞으로 새로운 기법들에 대한 적극적인 개발 및 보급이 요구됨을 알 수 있었다.
4. 꽃무늬와 추상무늬의 선호도 합의 분포가 80.4% ~ 93.4%를 이루어 우리나라 네일아트 일러스트레이션 표현내용이 2가지로 이루어지고 있다고 해도 과언이 아닐 정도의 매우 높은 집중도를 나타내었다.
이 같은 조사 결과는 우리나라 여성들의 네일아트 일러스트레이션 패턴의 선택 폭이 넓지 않으며 아직 다양화되지 못한 것을 의미하며, 연령대별로 차이점이 크지 않은 것은 우리나라의 네일아트 일러스트레이션 패턴이 아직 개성화되지 못하였음을 시사하는 것으로 분석되었다.
5. 핑크색이 모든 연령층에서 네일아트 일러스트레이션의 대표적인 선호색으로 나타났으며, 핑크색 · 베이지색 · 빨간색 · 흰색 등 상위 4가지 색에 대한 집중도가 매우 높아 우리나라 여성들의 네일 색채 선택폭이 넓지 않음을 보여주었다.
6. 네일아트 일러스트레이션 시 코디하는 패션 항목은 옷의 색채와 디자인과 코디한다는 응답이 가장 많았으며, ‘패션과 상관 안 한다’는 응답도 2순위를 차지하여 네일아트 일러스트레이션과 토털 패션을 연관지우지 않는 층도 상당한 비율인 것으로 나타났다.
패션 또는 TPO(때, 장소, 기회)를 고려하지 않을 경우 어떤 기준으로 네일아트 일러스트레이션을 선택하는지에 대한 조사 결과는 ‘그날의 기분에 따른다’가 가장 높은 빈도를 보여주어 우리나라 여성들의 네일아트 일러스트레이션 선택 기준의 임의성이 높은 것으로 나타났다.
이러한 네일아트 일러스트레이션 선택 기준의 임의성은 미용색채학과 조형예술이론의 토대위에서 적절한 방향으로 유도될 필요가 있으며, 이를 위해 앞으로 우리나라 네일 산업계가 다양하게 지속적 체계적으로 노력할 필요가 있다.
향후의 연구 방향으로는 본 연구에서 심층적으로 다루지 못한 TPO와 네일아트 일러스트레이션, 토털 패션과 네일아트 일러스트레이션 사례 연구를 제언하였다.
