조사 ``의``와 특정성 = Josa ``euy`` and Specificity

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the semantics of Josa ``euy`` in Korean focusing on specificity and NP subordinate conjunction. In order to do this, we make use of the case alternation between genitive construction and double nominative construction that are known to be syntactically controversial. In doing so, we have found that there are three different types of genitive constructions in related with Josa ``euy``: first one having always ``euy``, second one not having always ``euy``, third one having optionally ``euy``· And with the helping of various kinds of discourse contexts, we found that aforementioned three types are heavily related with specificity and NP subordinate conjunction. In addition, considering the fact that Josa ``euy`` links NP and NP(s) making another NP, we conclude that Korean Josa ``euy`` is semantically specificity marker, and syntactically NP subordinate conjunctor, linking noun phrase with another noun phrase(s).
