사단칠정논쟁에 대한 재고찰 = General Edition : Reconsidering on The four-seven debate

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article is to reconsidering on The four-seven debate of T``oegye-Gobong. At the center of songnihak(性理學) stands the metaphysically based Li-Ki. Chu-Hsi``s the Theory of the human mind is based on Cosmology. The four-seven debate involves the status of various kinds of feeling in their relation to human nature and particular with respect to metaphysical composition(Li-Ki). The seed of The four-seven debate was in 1553. T``oegye introduced the expression ``The four beginnings are the issuance of LI : the seven Feeling are he issuance of Ki. But Gobong had spoken critically of this outright spitting of feelings between Li and Ki. T``oegye wrote to in 1559 suggesting a further slight modification : Gobong replied with a more detailed critique. T``oegye carefully corrected in line with what he accepted of Gobong``s critique. After three or four years of a further Reconsidering, Gobong wrote a general summary statement of issue. Gobong``s summary seemed in basic harmony with T``oegye``s position.
