Purpose: This study examines the impact on export contract performance from utilization of government contract support in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Research design, data, and methodology: A survey of domestic export firms was conducted to achieve the research objectives. Based on 310 valid samples, an empirical analysis was performed utilizing Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling.
Results: Analysis of the survey shows that the ability to utilize government contract support has a significant positive effect on both export contract performance and the longterm orientation of export contracts.
Conclusions: This paper suggests that future government export support policies should evolve beyond simple administrative and financial assistance of firms, and move toward enhancing their data-driven contract management capabilities.
