      With the goal of finding out the differences between the Internet news media and blog in their news reports, this study has content-analyzed news reports of a major Internet news media, Oh My News and the contents of eight blog sites of professional journalists. Internet news media and blogs have shown little difference in six levels of framing, but both have contrasting differences in three levels. More than half of the news reports of Oh My News and the contents of blogs were written in negative tone. News value of proximity was found in all of the news reports and blog contents that were content analyzed. Three levels of framing where differences were found between Internet news media and weblogs are `time,` `narrative structure,` and `thematic vs. episodic` frame levels. In `time` level, the contents of the blogs were mostly focusing on the `present`, whereas Oh My News had more news reports about the `past` and `future` than did blog sites. In narrative structure, more story-telling narrative structure was found than chronicle narrative structure from both Oh My News and blog sites, but a lot more contents written in story-telling structure were found from blog sites than from Oh My News. Blog sites employed less episodic frame and more thematic frame than did Oh My News. Based on these similarities and differences between these two major Internet-based media, it is speculated if blogs can provide the Internet users with advanced news services while maintaining blog`s own features.
