Substituent Effects on the Dissociation of Azobenzene:Dissociations of Protonated 4-Dimethylaminoazobenzenes and Protonated 2-(Phenylazo)imidazoles = 아조밴젠의 해리에 대한 치환기효과 : 산성형 4-디메틸아미노아조밴젠류와 산성형 2-(페닐아조)이미다졸류의 해리

국문 초록 (Abstract)

산성형 4-디메틸아미노-4'(또는 3')-치환아조벤젠 또는 2-(p또는 m-치환페닐아조) 이미다졸의 해리에 대한 치환기의 효과를 연구하였다. 해리반응의 평형정수는 전자끄는 치환기에 의해서 감소되었으며 해리정수와 하메트 치환기상수 사이에는 직선관계가 성립되었다. 이 현상을 산성형의 전자비국재화 모형으로 설명하였다. 또한 이들 화학물의 변색 구역을 조사하였다.

The effect of substituent on the dissociation of protonated 4-dimethylamino-4'(or 3')-substituted azobenzene or 2(p-or m-substituted phenylazo)imidazole was investigated. The equilibrium constant of dissociation became smaller as the substituent made more electron-attracting and a linear relationship between pKa value and the Hammett substituent constant was observed. This result could be rationalized by means of an electron delocalization model of the protonated form. Color change intervals in pH scale for these compounds were also obtained.
