지역문화산업의 활성화를 위한 논리와 전략 = The Bases and Strategies for the Development of Local Cultural Industry

One of the prominent phenomenon since the implementation of local autonomy system is that many local governments concern on cultural industry, like as festivals, events, and cultural tourism etc. As the boundary of cultural policy has rapidly expanded to the cultural industry which is consisted an important factor deciding the competitiveness of city development, its policy priority is going to be upgraded and transferred to revitalizing urban economy from cultual welfare at city level.
This paper reviews the backgrounds and its theoretical bases on the growth of local cultural industry which affects facilitating the decentralization of cultural policy. The current trends related with cultural industry reflect three bases ; its economic spill-over effect, governmental sponsorship, and city government-initiated. It also suggests some tips for developmental strategies of cultural industry through the comparative study on the developed countries.
