  There is an apathy in the public feeling in relation to Harvard College, which is truly astonishing; but for this its moral and religion condition would never have come to what it now The supporters of the present state of affairs in that College, now and then step forward and make some show of defence; but for the most part they rest securely in the wealth they have wrested from other denominations, and in the of law which they threw around themselves, other denominations who have ever been accustomed to furnish their own and to their doctrinal views, could be awakened to suspect their intentions.
