전문대학 비서행정과 졸업생의 학사학위 취득 방안 = A Study on Earning 4-year Bachelor’s Degree for Junior College Graduates Majoring in Secretarial Administration

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 그동안 전문대학에서 논의되어 왔던 학사학위 취득 방안을 비서행정과에 적용하고자 하는 기초연구이다. 이를 위해 서울에 위치한 B대학 비서행정과를 사례로 재학생의 계속교육욕구와 진로계획, 계속교육 유형의 선호도, 그리고 학사학위를 취득한 졸업생들과의 심층인터뷰를 통해 학사학위 취득 경로를 분석하였다.
본 연구 결과 비서행정과 재학생과 졸업생들은 대다수가 계속교육으로써 학사학위 취득을 열망하고 있으며 특히 졸업 후 직장에서의 사회적 경험은 학사학위 취득을 더욱 가속화 시키고 있다. 비서행정과 졸업생의 학사학위취득과 관련되어 나타난 문제점으로는 비서전공과 학사학위전공과의 불일치로 타 전공을 선택해야 하며 학사학위에 대한 열망이 있어도 학위 취득 경로에 대한 정보 부재로 많은 학생들이 학위 과정에 진입하지 못하고 있다. 이 결과를 토대로 향후 비서행정과의 보다 현실적인 학사학위 취득 연계 방안으로써 학점은행제 연계와 전공심화제가 논의 되었다. 비서행정과의 경쟁력을 더욱 강화시키기 위해서는 대학 2년 과정을 종국교육에 국한하여 보지 않고 계속교육으로써 졸업 후에도 학교로 다시 돌아와 공부할 수 있는 순환적 교육체제의 가능성을 학사학위 연계로 이어져야 할 것이다. 이를 위해 학사학위취득 방안에 대한 활발한 담론 조성과 함께 방안이 추진될 수 있는 정책 연구가 이루어질 수 있도록 후속 연구들이 필요하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to provide some kind of guidelines for those junior college students majoring in Secretarial Administration to earn 4-year college degrees. Surveys given out to senior students and individual interviews of 5 former bachelor's degree graduates were used.
The results showed the following problems in graduates' pursuiing of 4 year bachelor's degree.
- Graduates had to choose third major because of inconsistency between secretary major and baccalaureate major.
- Only a limited number of graduates were able to go on into the degree program because of the lack of information or guide in pursuing bachelor's degree, Practical suggestions to help students continue their education to 4-year bachelor's programs are presented.
- Articulation among Credit Bank System, formal curriculum, and major qualifying certificate should be examined.
- Intensive major courses should be provided at formal curriculum or at lifelong education centers at junior college.
- To increase of competitiveness of Department, it is necessary to discourse in depth about the ways of baccalaureate degree.
