연극무대에서의 공감각적 경험에 관한 연구 -미디어아트 활용을 중심으로- = A Study on synesthetic experience in the theatre -Focused on utilization of media art-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

(Background and Purpose) Various cultural and technological developments in modern society have given way to multiple dimensions of time and space. Blurring the boundary between art and technology is going to create a new genre. This bidirectional communication and the synesthetic properties of media art are the focus for this paper. This paper aims to propose a new method by which to experience theater, focused on the synesthetic media art experience within the realm of the theater. (Method) This paper investigated the correlation between theater and media art by classifying the elements of production, and analyzed synesthetic properties by using media art in the theater. The work of Robert Lepage is analyzed using profiles derived on the basis of elements and attributes. (Results) Media arts that use synesthetic experience in the theater enable a broadening of space, time, and place, and help to overcome the limitations of the theater. The theatrical elements that were emphasized using the synesthetic experience helped maximize the involvement of the audience, and at the same time stimulate multiple senses, resulting in a total experience.
