한-미 FTA 특혜관세 활용의 결정요인을 위한 실증분석 - FTA장벽지수를 중심으로 - = An Empirical Analysis of the Determinants of Preferential Tariff Utilization in the Korea-US FTA.

This study empirically analyzes the determinants of preferential tariff import utilization in the Korea-US FTA. In order to empirically analyze the determinants of FTA utilization, based on the existing research hypothesis that it is determined by costs and benefits, a research model was designed using the FTA barrier index, especially in relation to measuring the strictness of rules of origin, and estimated using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model using data from 2021 to 2022. The empirical analysis shows that the import utilization rate of Korea-US FTA is positively affected by the increase in import volume and preferential margin, while it is negatively affected by the increase in import price. In addition, the study clearly shows that the strictness of the rules of origin has a negative impact on FTA utilization.
