다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

Plato, one of the most important and famous ancient greek philosophers, is regarded as an ideal and optimistic thinker who introduced so called ‘the theory of Ideas’ and ‘the ideal state’ in Republic. But Plato is a realist, and so opposed to rustic idealism. For example, he never shares an optimistic hope that war might be avoidable in our human life. As opposed to our common sense, he sees exactly the unavoidability of war as rooted in the dual nature of human(soul and body). As we all know, his dialogues are historically set during the Peloponnesian War. He writes a few dialogues about war. In Republic, the passage from a luxurious city to a well-ordered city is expressed by means of the proper education of the city’s military guardians. And in the same work, an early version of the so called ‘just war theory’ in the western civilization is acutely outlined. According to Plato, the true goal of war is not a military victory but an eternal peace of the greek world.
