The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship and influences of personality traits(neuroticism, extraversion, openness, agreeableness, conscientiousness); and perception of educational environment(human relationship, physical facility, instruction quality), and school life satisfaction of college students. 133 college students from a university in Gyeonggi-do, participated in this study. Satisfaction with life scale, NEO-FF(Neuroticism Extraversion Openness to experience-Five Factor Inventory), and 6 items from DREEM(Dundee Ready Education Environment Measure) were used. The data were analyzed with a t-test, ANOVA, Pearson`s correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. There was no gender difference in school life satisfaction. Male students were more positive about physical facility than female students, whereas female students had higher neuroticism than males. The scores of the 3rd year students were the highest in school life satisfaction, neuroticism, openness, and consciousness. School life satisfaction had positive relationships with extraversion and human relationship. The multiple regression analysis revealed that school grade, extraversion, and agreeableness had significant effects on school life satisfaction. The results of the study could give implications for developing educational or guidance programs to promote students` happy and successful college life.
