      Haofeng Xu is a martial arts novelist, screenwriter, director and teacher of film academy. As the author of “Monk Comes Down the Mountain” and the director of “The Grandmaster”, Xu is very famous among the filmdom and literature world in recent years. From the documentary literature “Shiqudewulin” to the movie “The Master”, Xu tried to present his martial arts’ views by “Tell” and “Show”. “The Master” which reconstructs the historical material arts’ views, is the first commercial movie produced by Xu. Ranging from character traits and historical presentation to action choreography and cinematography, it is totally different from the previous movies. The features of martial arts, aesthetic and literature shown in “The Master” have a breakthrough in the classical martial arts films.
