상마석상층문화의 시 · 공간과 문화성격

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 동검문화의 다양한 기층문화를 확인하고 당시의 다양한 지역관계를 엿보는 데 상마석상층문화가 매우 중요한 위치를 점한다는 입장에서 작성되었다. 상마석상층문화의 세분편년, 주변 지역 유적과의 비교를 통해 기존 성과를 흡수하면서 상마석상층문화의 문화적 특질과 그 형성과정 및 공간성을 시점별로 파악하려 하였다.
그 결과, 상마석상층문화는 이중구연관 및 횡대구획문이 시문된 호형토기를 특징으로 하며, 이중구연관이 중심인 벽류하 하류역 및 요동반도 동안 일대의 이중구연토기문화를 바탕으로 쌍타자문화의 대취자유형과의 관계 속에서 출현한다고 보았다.
그리고 상마석상층문화가 출현하기 전, 요동반도는 요동반도 남단의 쌍타자문화, 그리고 그 이북의 이중구연을 중심으로 한 토기문화로 대별되었으며, 요동산지 일대 마성자문화 등 다양한 지역문화가 전개되고 있었음을 확인하였다. 이러한 지역 관계는 쌍타자문화가 쇠퇴하고 상마석상층문화가 성립하면서 전환기를 맞게 되는데, 바로 요동반도 남단까지 아우르는 이중구연이라는 동질적 문화권이 형성되는 것이다. 구체적으로 이중구연과 공반하는 유물 및 무덤구조의 차이가 분명하여, 요동반도 남단 일대의 상마석상층문화, 태자하유적의 마성자문화, 신성자문화, 그리고 그 사이에 석붕을 중심으로 한 쌍방유형이 점이지대적 문화로 존재한다고 보았다. 그리고 이러한 동질적 이중구연토기문화 권으로 동검문화가 유입되어 파급되는 것으로 추정하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article assumes upper Shangmashi culture takes a significantly prominent position in examining various basic cultures in the bronze dagger culture and looking over different local relations at that time. Subdividing upper Shangmashi culture chronologically and comparing it to other remains in surrounding areas, this study aims to understand cultural traits, how it’s developed and spatiality over time based on existing research findings.
It turns out upper Shangmashi culture features jar-shape pottery with double rim and horizontal pattern and it makes its appearance in the relationship with Dazuizi type of Shuangtuozi culture, specifically based on the double-rimed pottery culture in the downstream of Biliu River and eastern Liaodong Peninsula where the double-rimed pottery is dominant.
Before upper Shangmashi culture comes into being, Liaodong Peninsula could be classified into Shuangtuozi culture in the southernmost area of Liaodong Peninsula and double-rimed pottery centered culture of the north. Also, various local cultures are developed in the mountain land of Liaodong including Machengzi culture. As Shuangtuozi culture declines, followed by advent of upper Shangmashi culture, such local relations begin to turn around. It’s faced with homogeneous culture area, called ‘the double-rimed pottery’ that encompass even southernmost area of Liaodong Peninsula. For a clear difference between relic and tomb structure that appear with the double-rimed, upper Shangmashi culture in the southernmost part of Liaodong Peninsula, Machengzi culture of relics found in Taizi River, Xinchengzi culture and Shuangfang culture in between characterized by table stones work as a transitional zone. And this study assumes that bronze dagger culture is drawn to such homogeneous double-rimed pottery culture and spreads out.
