한국만화박물관의 기록관리 개선방안 = A Study on Record Management of Korea Manhwa Museum

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리나라 대표 만화박물관이자 한국 만화아카이브를 지향하고 있는 ‘한국만화박물관’의 기록관리 현황에 대해 수집, 정리, 기술의 각 영역에서 문제점을 살펴보고 개선방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다.
만화는 문화산업의 경쟁력과 역량을 지닌 원작 콘텐츠로서의 가치를 지니며 OSMU로 고부가가치를 창출하기 때문에 보존의 가치가 높다. 만화의 OSMU 활성화를 위해서는 질 높은 작품들이 계속 만들어 질 수 있도록 만화콘텐츠에 대한 다방면의 연구가 선행되어야 하며 이를 뒷받침할 수 있는 다양한 만화 기록물의 보존이 필요하다.
이런 만화의 보존과 산업화의 기반이 되는 곳이 한국만화영상진흥원이며 그 중에서도 ‘한국만화박물관’은 만화의 보존과 콘텐츠 연구를 뒷받침하기 위한 만화 기록물을 관리하고 있다. 하지만 만화박물관의 기록관리는 수집에서 2가지, 정리에서 2가지, 기술에서 1가지, 총 5가지의 문제점이 있으며 이를 해결하기 위해 문헌연구, 면접연구, 사례연구를 통해 방안을 제시하였다.
수집에서는 첫째, 기존의 수집범위가 불명확하고 광범위하여 만화책과 원고의 수집에만 편중되어 있는 점을 지적하고 다큐멘테이션 전략 중 ‘기록화 영역 및 범위’를 기록물의 유형과 시기별로 나누어 방안을 제시하였다. 둘째, 만화박물관이 만화 기록물 수집을 함에 있어 주도적인 역할을 하여야 하는데 그렇지 못하고 있음을 지적하고, 홍보·교육·리드 개발을 통해 만화박물관이 주도적인 역할을 할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
정리에서는 첫째, 정리대상이 되는 기록물 유형이 단순하게 설정되어 있고 기록물들 간의 생성관계를 알 수 없는 정리방법의 문제점을 지적하고, 출처의 원칙과 계층적 관리 이론에 따라 기록물을 논리적으로 정리하는 방안을 제시하였다. 둘째, 80년대 이전과 이후의 만화책, 80년대 이후의 만화기록물의 매뉴스크립트와 만화책이 각각 수장고와 보존서고에서 이원적으로 관리되는 문제점을 지적하고 이를 통합적으로 관리할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
기술에서 만화박물관의 기술요소가 도서 기록물 위주이며 물리적인 정보만을 알 수 있는 문제점을 지적한 후, 기록물에 대한 맥락정보나 이용에 관한 사항, 진본성과 신뢰성을 보장할 수 있는 기술요소를 제시하였다. 이를 위해 국제 보존 기록물 기술규칙인 ISAD(G)를 중심으로 예술품 기술규칙인 CDWA, 텍스트를 기술할 수 있는 캐나다 보존 기록 기술규칙인 RAD, 디지털 매체 기술요소인 더블린 코어 양식을 비교하여 공통된 점을 필수사항으로 설정하고 필요한 요소들을 더하여 기술방안을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis intends to find out the problems on Record Management of Korea Manhwa Museum which is the representative Manhwa museum developing Korea Manhwa archive and suggests the methods to improve and change the problems in various areas on collection, arrangement and description.
Manhwa(Korean comic book) has very valuable preservation on account of the value of an original contents which have competitive position and power on a cultural industry making a high value as OSMU(One Source Multi Use). To make Manhwa do actively through high-quality works, various studies on Manhwa contents should be done and various Manhwa materials preservation should be needed.
Korea Manhwa Contents Agency is the center of Manhwa preservation and industry and Manhwa Museum, one of departments manages Manhwa manuscripts and copies keeping them and doing research on various Manhwa contents. But Koea Manhwa Museum has the two problems on collection and arrangement and one problem on description. So I suggest the solutions through material study, interview study and case study.
In collection, first of all the range is not clear, too broad and leans too much towards collecting comic books and manuscripts. So I suggest the improvement methods on "Record domain and range" out of documentation strategy in kinds and periods of them. Second, I point out the things Manhwa Museum should collect Manhwa materials actively but it doesn't do now and present the main roles of Manhwa Museum through promotion, education and leadership. In arrangement firstly, the kinds of materials are arranged too simply and the formation and creation of manuscripts is not clear theoretically in the principal of sources and a class-management theory. Secondly, comic books before and after 1980s are kept and managed separately in SoojangGo(storage) and Library each, so I suggest the united management method.
In description, I point out the things Korea Manhwa Museum has only booked-materials because of this we can only get the information physically. So I suggest description factors making sure the related information among Record materials, usage, genetic works and trusts. For this, comparing CDWA: Categories for the Description of works of Art, RAD: Rules for Archival Description which is issued in Canadian Council of Archives and Dublin Core; digital media system one another on the basis of ISAD(G): General International Standard Archival Description, I suggest description methods finding out the common factors and adding needed ones.
