Six Sigma was developed by Motorola, which is a tool for management innovation. Six Sigma methodology improves quality of outcomes of processes by analysing its input factors, the product of the process, and interrelation of these factors. In order to apply Six Sigma methodology to software development, generalized theories throughout the whole software development process were suggested by previous researches. Robert v. Binder figured out why Six Sigma methodology cannot be adopted to software development, in process, characteristics, uniqueness points of view. Redzic and Beik suggested generalized approach for applying Six Sigma to software development process. In these paper, we present Six Sigma approach to improve embedded software quality by using measurable functions and features of embedded system. Features and functions of embedded system are definitely important factors of system quality, and this could be important point when we apply Six Sigma methodology to embedded software.
