기독교인 자살과 목회적 대응- 상담학의 관점에서-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리 사회에 만연되어 있는 자살의 문제는 교회가 더 이상 침묵할 수 없는 데에 이르렀다. 자살하는 사람들 중에는 누구나 이름을 알 정도의 기독교인들이 포함되어 있을 정도로 확산된 실정이다. 자살은 우발적으로 일어날 수 있기에 기독교인들에게도 그만큼 위험에 노출되어 있음을 의미한다. 실제로 자살은 기독교인들에게도 여전히 위험적인 요인으로 작용할 수 있다. 변화되는 사회적 상황에서 자살은 신앙인에게도 그에 따른 좌절감이나 마지막 해결책의 수단이 되고 있다는 것이다. 이런 시각에서 생활의 고통으로 인한 기독교인의 자살은 간과해서는 안 될 목회의 중요한 문제이다. 이는 아직도 여전히 일어나는 기독교인의 자살을 볼 때 언제나 신앙만능만을 고집할 수 없음을 시사하는 것이기도 하다. 이런 논점에 대하여 본 논문은 그 원인을 고찰하고 그에 따른 목회적 예방과 대응책을 강구한다. 기독교인의 자살은 신앙적인 차원을 넘어 무의식적인 요인, 사회적 상황, 그리고 개인적인 심리적 상태 등이 함께 고려되어야 하는 것이다. 이런 현상은 교회가 단순한 신앙의 논리만으로 고수해 온 예방이나 대응책에 미비함을 보인 것이기도 하다. 이는 자살에 대한 보다 신중한 자세와 함께 그 원인을 분석함으로 적절한 결과를 얻을 수 있어야 한다는 것이다. 이런 점에서 본 논문은 정신분석학의 도움을 받아 기독교인의 자살에 대한 원인을 고찰하고 자살에 따른 경각심을 가짐은 물론, 더 나아가서는 자살한 기독교인들의 장례와 유족을 목회적으로 돌보는 문제까지도 그 시각을 수정하고 다루어야 하는 문제로 귀결되고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article shows Christian's suicide and pastoral measures to it from the viewpoint of pastoral counseling. It let knows that Church spread suicide in our society silent can't. Christian may commit suicide accidently. So they are vulnerable to the danger of suicide. All Christians may commit suicide in critic moments. In the changing social situations, the problem of adaptation may evoke frustration or be the means of the final solution to even believers. In this view, enervation of belief due to depression is an important issue in pastoral care. We can't assert stubbornly that the only key to any kinds of problems is to believe because depression may overwhelm belief. Facilitating Christian's spiritual wellbeing, strengthening the meaning of life, emphasizing God's calling to himself or herself and experiential religious life would be necessary. Especially, experiential faith can vitalizes life and helps overcome crisis.
