중학교 과학영재 학생들의 성취목적과 학습전략에 관한 조사 연구 - 과학영재와 일반학생의 비교 - = A Study on Science-Gifted Middle School Students' Achievement Goal and Learning Strategy - Comparison between science-gifted and general students -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 한 개인이 과제를 수행하는 이유와 의도를 어떻게 생각하는가에 초점을 맞춘 성취목적 이론에 비추어 과학영재 학생들이 어떤 목적을 가지고 학습에 임하는지 그것을 위해서 어떤 학습전략을 사용하는지를 알아보았다. 그 결과 과학영재 학생들은 일반 학생들과 비교했을 때 성취목적에서는 과제지향과 수행지향의 평균이 유의미하게 높았고, 학습전략 면에서는 심층적 학습전략을 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 과학영재 학생들의 성취목적 중 과제 지향, 수행회피 목적과 학습전략은 유의미한 상관관계를 보였으며, 일반 학생들의 성취목적 중 과제지향, 수행지향이 학습전략과 유의미한 상관관계를 보였다. 과학영재 학생들은 과제지향, 수행지향 목적 모두 높은 집단, 과제지향 목적만 높은 집단, 과제지향, 수행지향, 수행회피 목적이 보통인 집단으로 복합적인 성취목적 성향을 가지고 있었다. 과제 지향, 수행지향 목적 모두 높은 집단, 과제지향 목적만 높은 집단에 포함된 과학영재 학생들은 다른 한 집단보다 심층적 학습을 더 많이 사용하였다.

A Study on Science-Gifted Middle School Student's Achievement Goal and Learning Strategy
- Comparison betwwen science-gifted and general students -

The purpose of this study is to investigate what kind of goals science gifted students have when they face on learning and what learning strategies they use in relation to the theory of achievement goals. For the achievement goals, the science-gifted students were compared to non-gifted students, showed a significantly higher average of task and performance goal. For the learning strategies, they were found to use in-depth leaning strategies. Task and performance avoided goal among science-gifted students' achievement goal and learning strategy showed significant correlation. Also task and performance goal among non-gifted students' achievement goal and learning strategy showed significant correlation. Science-gifted students had different kinds of compound achievement goals: high task-high performance goal(cluster 1), high task goal(cluster 2), average task, performance, performance avoided goal(cluster 3). Science-gifted students who belong to cluster 1 and cluster 2 were found to use in-depth learning strategies more than science-gifted students who belong to cluster 3.
