정신장애인을 위한 근거 중심 지원 고용 모델과 성과에 관한 탐색적 연구 = A Exploratory Study on Evidence Based Supported Employment Model for People with Mental Disorder and Outcomes

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 정신장애인의 고용 문제는 효과적인 실천 모델의 도입이 중요하다고 보고, 서구에서 검증된 근거 중심 지원고용 서비스 모델의 적용 가능성을 살펴보고자 하였다. 전국의 정신장애인 기관 37개 기관의 실무자로부터 기관에 대한 정보와 435명의 정신장애인에 대한 정보를 수집하였다. 독립변인은 정신장애인의 고용에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려진 개인적 특성 변인(성별, 연령, 결혼여부, 학력, 국민기초생활수급자 여부)과 지원고용 서비스 수준을 포함하였다. 지원고용서비스 수준 측정은 근거중심 지원고용 서비스 모델 실행 정도를 측정할 수 있는 지원고용 실행충실도 척도(Supported Employment Fidelity Scale, SEFS)를 사용하였다. 종속변수에는 정신장애인의 임상적 증상(재입원 횟수), 사회적 기능(GAF 점수), 그리고 고용성과(임금, 근로시간, 정규직 여부) 등을 포함하였다. 회귀분석과 로지스틱 회귀 분석 결과, 지원고용 서비스 실행 수준은 정신장애인의 임금, 근로시간, 정규직 여부에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 정신장애인의 임상적 증상이나 사회적 기능에는 유의미한 영향을 보이지 않은 결과에 대해서는 향후 연구에서 기관과 고용환경의 영향력 등 정신장애인의 직업재활에서 고려되어야 할 다양한 변인을 포함하는 연구를 통해 살펴볼 필요가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recognizing a growing adoption of evidence based supported employment model for clients with mental disorders in western countries, the researcher sought to examine the possibilities of adopting the evidence based supported employment model in South Korea. Supported employment fidelity scale was used to assess the level of vocational services of mental health organizations and their impacts on clinical and vocational outcomes of clients This study used the data collected from 37 mental health organizations providing services for clients with mental disorders. 435 clients from these agencies were participated. Data was collected from the practitioners from these agencies who reported vocational services of their organization and information of clients as well. Gender, marital status, education, welfare services were included as individual characteristic variables. The level of vocational services was measured by using Supported Employment Fidelity Scale. As clinical outcomes, General Assessment Functioning (GAF) and the number of hospitalization were included. As work outcomes, the wage and length of days in jobs were included. Results from logistic and linear regression analyses indicated that there was no significant association between the level of implementation of supported employment model and clinical outcomes. With relation to work outcomes, the length of days in jobs, the wage, and the regular job obtainment were found to be significantly associated with the level of supported employment model. Based on findings, supported employment model was found to be a promising vocational training model for persons with mental disorder in South Korea.
