한국 시민정치의 전개와 반기업주의

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국사회에서 반기업의식의 뿌리는 친식민적이고 독재유착적인 기업행태에 대한 부정적 인식에서 비롯되었다. 한국의 반기업의식은 정치변동 및 민주화 과정을 거치면서 확대 재생산되었다는 점에서 민족해방운동 및 민주화운동과 일치된 기원을 갖는다고 할 수 있다. 반기업의식이 지속적으로 재생산되어 체계적인 가치나 이념으로 작동하게 되면 ‘반기업주의’로 고착된다. 반기업주의는 정치영역과 시장영역을 감시하고 이에 저항하는 시민사회영역에서 가장 체계적으로 드러난다. 특히 반기업주의는 특정의 역사국면에서 전개된 사회운동주기를 거치며 구체화되고 변화되었다. 이 글은 민주화운동을 포함하는 시민사회의 운동정치를 ‘시민정치’로 규정하고, 해방 후 전개된 시민정치의 역사적 주기에 따라 반기업주의 프레임의 변화를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 글에서는 해방 이후 1987년 6월 항쟁까지의 시기를 ‘민족민주운동주기’, 1990년대 이후를 ‘시민사회운동주기’로 구분하고 전자를 ‘비시장적 반기업주의’의 시기, 후자를 ‘시장적 반기업주의’의 시기로 설명한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article aims to analyze changes in the anti-corporate culture frame in modern Korean civic politics, defined as the political movements of civil society developed after emancipation from Japanese colonial rule. The roots of South Korean anti-corporate consciousness are based in the negative perception of corporate behaviors such as pro-colonial attitudes and adhesive relationships with dictators and their governments. South Korean anti-corporate consciousness can be said to have its origins in the process of national liberation movements and the pro-democracy movement, and has expanded and reproduced through political change and the democratization process. Anti-corporate culture has become stronger while an anti-corporate consciousness continues to operate in systemic values ndideologies. Anti-corporate culture is clearly evident in civil societyamong those who monitor the corporate and political spheres and often resist them. Obviously, anti-corporate culture has been intensified and trans formed through the cycle of social movements in this specific historical conjuncture. In this regard, this article analyzes the anti-corporate culture frame during two periods, the period of the National Democratic Movement from the emancipation in 1945 to the June Uprising of 1987, and the period of Civic Social Movement after the 1990s. While the former is explained as a period of non-market anti-corporate culture, the latter is described as a period of market anti-corporate culture.
