In this study I aimed to examine the theories of creative method which was discussed from 1920's to 1930's in KAPF. The theories of creative method was brought out as a trial to fill the gap between criticism and Substantial creation. The extreme emphasis on ideology caused the gap between criticism and creation. I attempted, in this study, to grasp those situations by classifying the period of KAPF into the prosperous period and the dissolving period. The prosperous period of KAPF was from the organization of KAPF(1925) to 1933-1934. In that period the leading group of KAPF executed real influence. So the emphasis of ideological armament on writers(critics) from the organization bore the theories of aim-consciousness (目的意識論 ). But the theories of aim-consciousness was opposed to theories of forms of Palbong(八峯의 形式論 ), anarchism literature(아나키즘文學論), popularization (大衆化論), and peasant Literature( 農民文學論). Those theories which emphasized the matter of securing the readers and the originality of art took the role of checking the theories of leading group. The period of dissolution of KAPF was from 1933-4 to 1936-7. In that period the main subject of the discussions was socialist realism. The important controversial issues were the issue of reception of socialist realism, world-view & creative method, and Revolutionary Romanticism, etc. For the reception of socialist realism, some were for it in the view-point of the international relationship of proletariate literature and surmounting the fallacy of past creative methods and others were against it because there was no fallacy in the past theories of creative method in theory and apprehension about writer's deviation from the color of politics. The formers were Mak AN (安漠), Hyo HAN(韓曉), and Dong Gyu LEE (李東珪), etc., the latters were Nam Chun KIM (金南天), Ham Kwang AN (安含光), and Tu Yong KIM(金斗鎔), etc.. The issues of world-view and creative method were closely related to the subject of reception of socialist realism. The world-view, in short, meant the ideological armament of writers in socialist literary movement. Revolutionary Romanticism, while the material dialectical creative method suffocated the creation because of its extreme emphasis on ideology, was not incompatible with socialist realism which opened the writers' freedom of creation. Revolutionary Romanticism which differed from the older romanticism meant that it was contradiction that though everyone had longed for beautiful life and happiness nobody fulfilled his wants. The debaters in those days agreed among themselves that the harmony of realism and romanticism was very desirable. Because we can regard the debates in the period of KAPF dissolution as opening the writers' freedom of creation, there was organic relation between those issues in the period of KAPF dissolution and the theories of anarchism literature, popularization, peasant literature, and forms of Palbong in the period of KAPF prosperity. There leave the issues of changing period(轉形期) which will be studied on the view-point of theories of creative method and the source research of the debates.
