한지슬러지-목재파티클 복합보드의 물리적 및 기계적 성질

This study was carried out to develop the Korean paper(Hanji) sludge-wood particle composite boards utilizing the relinquished sludges occurring from the making process of Korean classic paper Hanji. The bark of paper mulberry(Broussonetia kazinoki Sieb.) has been used as a raw material since past hundreds and thousands years. Korean paper(Hanji) sludge was divided into two kinds, the one was the white sludge from the first stage and the other was the black sludge occurring from the final stage of Korean paper(Hanji) making. Four levels of the mixed ratio of each white or black sludge to wood particle(10:90, 20:80, 30:70 and 40:60), three levels of the resin adhesives(PMDI, urea and phenol resin) and three levels of the density(0.60, 0.75 and 0.90) were designed to investigate the physical properties of Korean paper(Hanji) sludge-wood particle composite boards. From the results and discussion, it could be concluded as follows: By the results and discussion of physical and mechanical properties it is suggested that the white sludge-wood particle composite boards bonded with PMDI or black sludge-wood particle composite boards bonded with urea resin were made possibly with similar or better properties, compared with general particleboard until the addition of 20% Korean paper sludge into wood particle.

The consumption of sugar in our diet increased so great that much U. S. dollars are spended to import sugar source from foreign contries. To replace a part of it we adopted mother plant and seeds of the well-known Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni M.) originated from south America, from the Agricultural Experimental Station of Hokkaido, Japan, in 1974.<br/> In order to determine the growth condition of Stevia in our climate and soil condition, the results of survey and determination were as follows:<br/> 1. Germination rate of Stevia was averaged 33.6% at 35 th day after seedling and the maximum germination period was between 5 and 20 days after seedling.<br/> 2. The seedling rate of Stevia was about 8%.<br/> 3. Establishment of roots of Stevia propagated by cutting method was above 90% but only S-1 strain showed lower rate., 75%.<br/> 4. S-2 strain showed the best growth rate that was about 160㎝ by plant height and it was decreased by the following order : S-4, S-3, S-1, S-6 and S-5 strains.<br/> 5. S-4 strain resulted in 45 branches that was the highest number among strains tested and S-2 strain was the next.<br/> 6. The content of sweetening compound of Stevia, stevioside, was 5.3% in S-l, S-2, S-5 and S-4 strains but S-3 and S-6 strains were relatively low content, 4.9%.<br/> From the above results we obtained Stevia could be propagated by cutting method and the growth conditions including plant height, number of branches and content of stevioside were relatively better in S-2 and S-4 strains that were differentiated by the shape of leaf.

1. Creosote in treated wood that exposed in open areas of outdoor is gradually lost by eiapse of some period of time. This is the interst and important problem relating to decide the effect on the life extension of creosoted wood. As a general preservative losses occurring in wood treated by oil born preservative such as creosote oil are taken place boy the evaporating and washing activities of the exposed surfaces of wood due to the climatic conditions. Accordingly author intend to inspect differences in retention among species showing after creosoted blocks had been treated by evaporating and washing alternately for a definite time in the laboratory. 2. In this study rail road tie woods of Quercus aliena Blume, Fagus crenata Blume and Fraxinus mandchurica Ruprecht which entered into area for treatment at the plant, lecating in Suwon, Korea, were selected to the test species. 2×2×2 centimeter forty small wood blocks for each species were cut, treated by the mixed solution of equal 50% creosote and heavy oil (hot and cold method), and inspected absorption percents. After evaporation and washing treatments alternately to the intervals of definite time had been accomplished, the losses of creosote were inspected. 3. According to the results Quercus Fagus and Fraxinus are showing the values of 37.9, 87.3 and 59.3% in absorption, and these values were reduced into 28.7, 63.8 and 44.4% respectively by evaporating and washing treatments for a definite time. These indicate that losses of ease absorbing species are greater than difficult one and on the contrary difficult are lesser. However above reduced values are calculated to the 24.3, 26.9 and 25.1% when the absorption percents of each species were assumed as 100% retention respectively. Therefore actual differences of losses among species are lesser than those of absorption percents.

Quantification of the regurgitation amount is important before and after valvular replacement sugery. Until now cardiac catheterization with cineventriculography, echocardiography have been used to measure the regurgitation amount, but also have many limitations EKG gated cardiac blood pool scan provides a simple, non-invasive method for quantify the regurgitation amount. By calculating the ratio of left ventricular to right ventricular stroke counts(stroke volume ratio) in gated bood pool scan, we measured the left ventricular regurgitation amount in 28 cases of valvular regurgitation and 25 cases of normal group. 1) Stroke volume ratio was higher in cases of valvular regurgitation(2.11±0.58) than in cases of normal control(l.15±0.31). (p〈0.01). 2) Stroke volume ratio was classified by regurgitation grade using X-ray cineventriculography. In grades of mild regurgitation(Grade I∼Ⅱ), stroke volume ratio was 2.02±0.29, and in grades of severe regurgitation(Grade Ⅲ∼Ⅳ), stroke volume ratio was 2.55±0.34e volume ratio was well correlated with the grade of X-ray cineventriculography. 3) Stroke volume ratio was classfied by functional class made in New York Heart Association. In classes of mild regurgitation (class I∼Ⅱ), stroke volume ratio was 2.08±0.26, and in classes of severe regurgitation (class Ⅲ∼Ⅳ), stroke volume ratio was 2.55±0.38, Stroke volume ratio well represented the functional class. 4) After aortic and mitral valve replacement in 28 patients, the stroke volume ratio decreased from 2.11±0.58 to 1.06±0.26. Gated blood pool scan provides a noninvasive method of qnantifying valvular regurgitation and assessing the result of surgical interventions.
