This study examines the role of visual merchandising (VMD) in creating effective interior displays for fashion “select shops”(shops that carry a wide selection of brands) amid the recent changes in consumption trends, with consumer needs becoming increasingly individualized and diversified. Fashion select shop interior displays can be categorized as self-service, showcase, counter, and environmental display spaces. Regarding the VMD elements that contribute to effective interior displays, we reached the following conclusions. First, in self-service displays, in order to heighten sales efficacy, display elements should be presented in such a way as to enable customers to select products with ease by themselves. Second, the mere presence of showcase displays was found to be insufficient; if, however, select shops use showcase displays to arrange products according to the flow of customer traffic, enabling the creation of a gentrified atmosphere for products, this may contribute to a differentiated image of brands, heightening perceived product value. Third, in counter displays, having a harmonious arrangement of display and presentation elements promotes sales by inspiring customer confidence. Fourth, regarding environmental displays, it is important for stores to have attractive interior designs and decorations in order to reproduce settings in which products are actually used, as this can inspire interest in products and promote customers` purchasing intention.

A finite element analysis is performed to investigate frictionally excited thermoelastic instability in automotive disk brakes. This instability leads to the localized high temperature contact regions such as hot spots in the automotive brake. It is assumed that linear perturbations on the constant speed solution vary sinusoidally in the circumferential direction and grow exponentially in time. This assumption in the themoelastic and heat conduction equations leads to a linear eigenvalue problem for the exponential growth rate for each wave number. The computational results are compared with an analytical solution for a layer sliding between two planes. The present method gives goods estimates for the critical rotational speed. Also. the effects of friction (pad) material properties on the critical characteristics are investigated.

Recently, vehicles have been equipped with many electric equipment components according to safe, convenient, and environmental requirements. To meet the requirements, development of easy to control, durable, and miniaturized electrical components is essential. Therefore, the CVVD (Continuous Variable Valve Duration) actuator, which produces driving force in the new CVVD system under development, is applying the BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor. Requirements as automotive parts were analyzed and verified through numerical method and experiments to apply BLDC motors. For this purpose, the required torque, temperature conditions and vibration conditions of the product are clearly identified and reflected in the product design. In particular, it was developed with characteristics as smart actuators. As a result, basic performance such as response time was satisfied and achieved the required performance at last.
