주요 국가의 학위논문 납본 관련 법규와 실무에 관한 분석 연구

본 연구의 목적은 한국을 포함한 주요 8개국의 학위논문의 법정납본과 관련된 자료들을 비교․분석하고, 그 결과를 바탕으로 국내 학위논문 법정납본 제도 개선에 관한 시사점을 도출하는데 있다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 본 연구에서는 주로 문헌연구 방법을 적용하였는데, 조사대상 국가의 학위논문 납본과 제출 등에 관련된 법규와 국가도서관 및 학술유통기관의 학위논문납본 실무과정과 지침, 주요 대학들의 학위논문 납본 실무 사례들을 비교․분석하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 주요 논점이 되는 사안을 도출하여, 개선안을 제시하였다. 국내 학위논문 법정납본 제도를 위해 법적인 측면에서는 도서관법과 고등교육법의 개정을, 실무측면에서는 KERIS의 학위논문 수집과 제공에 관한 법적 근거의 강화와 dCollection 시스템 운영의 개선과 더불어 전자학위논문 중심의 납본 등에 대해 제언하였다. The research aims to propose improvement to legal theses deposit system in S. Korea by conducting comparative analysis of legal theses deposit systems in eight other countries including the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, France, Taiwan, Japan and S. Korea. The research used documentary research method including literature review by collecting and analyzing the legal regulations, ordinances, practical processes, and guidelines related to thesis submissions at national libraries and academic institutional depositories, as well as practical cases of thesis submissions at major universities in each country. Based on the analysis results, the key issues are identified and discussed, and corresponding suggestions for solving the issues are presented. For the improvement of the legal theses deposits systems, the research recommends legal amendments to the Library Law and Higher Education Law. On the practical side, the research proposes strengthening the legal foundation for KERIS, in collecting and providing theses, improving the operation of the dCollection system, and proposing a submission method focused on electronic theses.

국내 공공도서관의 정보격차해소 활동에 대한 분석

The aim of this study is to explore the activities of public libraries in Korea about information divide issues. To do this, the web sites of 58 public libraries in Korea were investigated. On the basis of analysis, this study concluded that the activities of public libraries did not assist information have-nots, for example, people with disabilities, older adults, immigrants, rural residents and low income brackets and were insufficient to related guidelines of library services.

이주민을 위한 국내 도서관 서비스의 현황 분석

The purpose of this study is to current status of library services for immigrants in Korea, where the number of immigrants reaches one million. To do this, the cases of library services for immigrants in North America and Europe were investigated and persons in charge who work in 10 public libraries and 5 private libraries serving immigrants in Korea were interviewed. Also, research articles, newspapers and related websites are utilized. Current status and limitations of library services for immigrants were discussed and some suggestions were presented. 2007년 현재 국내 체류 외국인이 약 백만명에 다다를 정도로 급격한 증가를 보이고 있는 상황에서 이 연구는 우리나라의 공공도서관과 민간도서관에서 제공하고 있는 이주민 서비스 현황을 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 외국의 이주민 도서관 서비스 사례를 검토하고 이주민 서비스를 제공하고 있는 국내 10개 공공도서관과 5개 민간도서관 대상으로 담당자와의 면담을 실시하고 다양한 관련자료를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 국내 도서관의 이주민 서비스의 현황과 한계를 진단하고 그 대안을 제시하고자 하였다.

국내 다국어/다문화 도서관 서비스에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate the current nationwide status of the multicultural and multilingual library services in Korea. To do this, a survey aimed at the public libraries, the non-governmental organizations and the governmental bodies that provided library services with multicultural and multilingual materials was conducted. Also, 15 librarians and the persons in charge were interviewed. As a result of this study, some recommendations not only regarding national library policies but also regarding public libraries providing multicultural library services to local users were suggested.

국내 도서관의 다문화자료 입수를 위한 효과적 방안 연구

최근 우리사회가 급격히 다문화사회로 변모하고 있는 상황을 고려할 때, 국내거주 이주민들 의 출신국가에서 생산된 자료의 입수와 제공은 도서관의 다문화 서비스에 있어 매우 중요한 의미를 가진다. 하지만, 비체계적인 자료입수 방법과 해당 국가의 열악한 출판 및 유통 환경 등으로 인해 다문화 서비스를 고려하고 있는 일부 도서관들은 다문화자료의 입수에 상당한 애로를 겪고 있는 상황이다. 이에 본 연구는 국내외 공공도서관과 대학도서관들의 다문화, 지역학, 어문학 관련 자료입수 경험을 바탕으로 하여 다문화자료의 효과적인 입수를 위한 몇 가지 방안들을 제시하였다.

The aim of this study is to investigate the library related campaign promises of the candidates for the heads of metropolitan governments and the superintendents of education between 1st and 6th nationwide local election in Korea. To do this, the library related campaign promises of 346 candidates were analyzed by analysing the official gazettes for elections digitally archived in National Election Commission of Korea. As a result, the campaign promises of the candidates were insufficient both in quality and quantity. The candidates for the heads of metropolitan governments showed low ratio of the library related campaign promises, excessive concentration on construction or installation of libraries and higher preference for small libraries than public libraries. The candidates for the superintendents of education showed relatively balanced distribution of the election promises on library fields. But the campaign promises related public libraries were insufficient and the campaign promises of school libraries did not reflect the major elements of school libraries and the context of school libraries in Korea.

북한이탈주민의 정보요구와 정보행태에 관한 연구 - 부산지역 거주자를 중심으로 -

In recent days North Korean refugees. who hope to move into and settle in South Korea, have been rapidly increasing. However their adaptation to South Korea is reported to have not been so much successful as they expected. Considering such situations, this study attempts to investigate their information needs and behavior. North Korean refugees have various and strong information needs for settlement and daily life. The strongest were information needs related to economic Problem, specifically job and business related information needs. It was followed by information needs related to social welfare, health and security child care and education, and North Korean situation In order to meet their information needs. North Korean refugees were heavily dependent on informal interpersonal information sources such as their family members. friends. and their own neighborhoods. as compared to such formal interpersonal information sources as Public officers. social welfare agents, and NGOs members. Meanwhile. their usage of mass media such as TV. newspapers, and internet as information sources was also heavy However the overall information environment surrounding them appeared to be relatively inferior to that of average South Koreans.

협력기반의 다문화자료 입수 체계에 관한 연구

Today's S. Korean society has become more multicultural, so many libraries in S. Korea have been working hard to serve their "new customers". In this regard, this study intends to investigate library cooperative systems for acquisition of multicutural materials in Western countries to relieve difficulties of libraries in S. Korea in acquiring multicutural materials. the study analyzed 23 national libraries, state libraries, public libraries and library systems in North America, Australia and Northern European Countries. The research found categorization schemes. First, library cooperative systems are divided into two groups according to cooperative methods: cooperative acquisition and bulk loan method. Second, the systems are categorized according to the territorial scope of the service: country, state or province, borough or city and inter-library. The study also analyzed and synthesized the characteristics of these systems. It finally provides recommendations to apply the methods used by the library cooperative systems in Western countries to Korean's situation.

국내 외국인 유학생의 정보리터러시 현황 분석

The authors of this study tried to explore the current status of the levels of information literacy of foreign students in Korea where many foreign students, mainly from several Asian countries, have been moving continuously into various universities. To do this, a survey was conducted of 202 Chinese students enrolled in universities in Busan and its neighboring area. They responed that their level of information literacy was slightly above the middle range and that the fields of ‘information ethics’ and ‘information communication technology’ were relatively high whereas ‘information production, communication and sharing’ and ‘information investigation and search’ were relatively low. 본 연구는 최근 국내에 급격히 증가하고 있는 외국인 유학생들이 원활한 학업수행을 위해 반드시 보유해야 하는 정보리터러시 수준이 어떠한지를 살펴보기 위해 부산과 인근지역 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 중국인 유학생 202명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 중국인 유학생들은 스스로 자신들의 정보리터러시 수준을 중간점수보다 조금 높은 정도라고 응답하였고, 구체적으로 <정보윤리/정보문화>, <정보통신기술>, <정보요구 인식/정보원 파악> 영역은 상대적으로 높게 평가되었으며, <정보분석/종합/관리>, <정보생산/소통/공유>, <정보조사/정보검색> 등은 상대적으로 낮게 평가되었다.
