        Retaining walls reinforced by geogrids have been often failed during or after heavy rainfalls. In this study, a case study on such failed retaining walls was carried out to investigate failure patterns and causes. One failed case occurred on Kyungsan in Kyungpook was redesigned and reevaluated for internal and external stability. It was shown that the redesigned failed retaining wall satisfied a required factor of safety for retaining walls.

      • 죽편을 혼합한 콘크리트 강도에 관한 연구

        (Abstract) The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for designing mixed concrete with bamboo pieces through a series of strength tests to understand its properties. Specific gravity tests and slump tests which are the basic properties of concrete were conducted and 1.0㎝*0.5cm bamboo pieces were manufactured. Some of the bamboo pieces were treated at 200°C by heat treatment to figure out the effect of the adhesion between bamboo and concrete regarding the strength. Concrete was mixed with coarse aggregate and bamboo pieces replacing 0%, 15%, and 30% of the original amount of the coarse aggregate, and then the test specimens of mixed concrete were dated during 7 and 28 days respectively. Uniaxial compressive strength and splitting tensile strength tests were performed on the manufactured test specimens. In case of 28-day specimens replacing 15% of the coarse aggregate with bamboo pieces, the strength was decreased by 19.70% and 23.75% for specimens with unheated and heated bamboo pieces respectively, and the strength of specimens replacing 30% was decreased by 42.53% and 56.49% respectively. There was a marked reduction in the strength according to the mixing ratio, and there was no effect regarding increase in strength and the adhesion between the bamboo and cement when the bamboo pieces were treated by heating. The replacement ratio of 15% was determined to be appropriate because unheated 28-day test specimens with replacement ratio of 15% showed the strength of 22.4MPa which is close to the targeted compressive strength of 24MPa. Therefore, this concrete with bamboo pieces is expected to be used for subslab concrete or the pavement of rural roads which do not require high strength. In addition, the mixed concrete with bamboo pieces in this study can bring the effects of positive economy and reduction of environmental destruction, and thus it has been confirmed that this can be utilized as an eco-friendly material to replace the artificial aggregate in current construction industry.

      • 화력발전소 플라이애쉬의 액상화 거동 특성

        This study was conducted for evaluation of the liquefaction behaviour of fly ash cast on the thermal power plants. The physical, chemical and geotechnical properties of fly ash were evaluated to confirm that it was a silty soil(ML) of F class with spherical particles and to evaluate the liquefaction resistance through the cyclic triaxial test. The test results showed that the liquiefaction resistance of the fly ash was 0.084. This is lower than 0.109 result of the Nakdong river sand, which is therefore more vulnerable to liquefaction than sandy soil. The liquefaction behaviour of the fly ash was analyzed by adjusting the test conditions of the effective stress and the anisotrophic ratio. as a result, as the effective stress and the anisotrophic ratio increase, the liqufaction resistance of the fly ash decreases and the risk of injection phenomena and permanent deformation is greater. In addition, a test was conducted to induce dissipation of pore water pressure by mixing sand and gravel. First, cyclic triaxial test was conducted by mixing 5%, 10% and 20% sand of the volume ratio of fly ash specimen. test results show that the liquefaction resistance in mixed sand conditions tends to decrease compared to the fly ash specimen. This trend was analysed using the binary mixture's void ratio theory. The intergranular void ratio in which 20% of the sand is mixed was found to be 1.802, higher than the void ratio of 1.54 of the fly ash specimen. It was judged that the resistance to liquiefaction decreases as the test specimen becomes loose due to increased void ratio. Second, five layers of gravel(natural and artificial) were mixed in the fly ash specimen. test results show that the liquefaction resistance in mixed gravel conditions tends to increase compared to the fly ash specimen. The test results confirm that the liqufaction resistance of the fly ash increases when the gravel is mixed. The results of this study are to improve the resistance of the liquefaction of the fly ash by mixing the ground material with gravel inside the fly ash layer to improve the repeated stress of the earthquake. 본 연구는 화력발전소 플라이애쉬의 액상화거동 평가를 위해 수행되었다. 플라이애쉬의 물리적, 화학적, 지질공학적 특성을 평가하여 실트질(ML)의 공학적 특성을 갖는 F 등급 플라이애쉬임을 확인하고 반복삼축압축시험을 통해 액상화저항력을 평가하였다. 시험 결과 플라이애쉬의 액상화저항력은 0.084인 것으로 나타났다. 이는 낙동강 모래의 0.109 결과보다 낮으며, 따라서 사질토 지반보다 액상화에 더 취약하여 액상화저항력 개선방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다고 판단하였다. 플라이애쉬의 액상화거동을 작용유효응력 및 이방압밀비 등의 시험조건을 조정하여 분석하였다. 시험 결과, 유효응력 및 이방압밀비가 증가함에 따라 플라이애쉬의 액상화저항력이 감소하는 경향을 확인하였으며, 이에 따라 분사현상 및 이방압밀 상황에서 발생하는 영구변형의 발생량이 커지는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 모래와 자갈을 혼합하여 간극 수압의 소산을 유도하기 위한 시험을 실시하였다. 첫째, 플라이애쉬 시료의 부피비 5%, 10%, 20%만큼 모래를 혼합하여 반복삼축압축시험을 실시하였다. 시험 결과, 혼합 모래 조건에서 액상화저항력은 플라이애쉬로만 구성된 공시체에 비해 감소하는 경향이 있다. 이 경향을 이원 혼합물의 공극비 이론을 적용하여 분석한 결과, 모래의 20%를 혼합한 조건에서의 공극비는 1.802로 플라이애쉬의 공극비 1.54보다 높은 것을 확인하였다. 이를 통해 모래 혼합에 따른 간극수압 소산 효과에 의한 액상화저항력 개선효과보다 공극비 증가에 따른 느슨한 상태가 된 지반조건에 따른 액상화저항력의 감쇄 효과가 커지는 효과에 의해 액상화저항력이 감소하는 것으로 판단되었다. 둘째, 다섯 층의 천연자갈 및 인공자갈을 플라이애쉬 공시체에 층혼합을 실시하였다. 시험결과 자갈을 층혼합한 조건에서 액상화저항력이 증가하는 경향을 확인하였다.

      • 베인시험기를 이용한 낙동강모래의 마찰각에 관한 연구

        vane shear test (VST) is a simple testing method for determining an undrained shear strength of cohesive soils by minimizing soil disturbance. In this study, the VST was used to determine a shear strength of sand. Dry Nakdong River sand was prepared for loose and dense conditions in a cell and then pressurized with 25, 50, 75 or 100 kPa from the surface of sand. A vane was rotated and a torque was measured within sand. When a torque moment by vane and friction resistance moment by sand is assumed to be equalized, a friction angle can be obtained. When a vane rotates within clay, a uniform undrained shear strength is assumed to be acting on cylindrical failure surface or other faillure surface. On the other hand, when it is applied for sand, the failure shape can be assumed to be an octagonal or square column or modified failure surface. The relationship between measured torque and resistant force along assumed failure shapes due to friction of sand was derived and the internal friction angle of sand was determined for loose and dense conditions. For the same soil condition, a series of direct shear test was carried out and compared with VST result. This is similar to those of direct shear tests.

      • 섬유가 시멘트 페이스트의 인장강도에 미치는 영향

        인장력을 받는 콘크리트, 시멘트 모르타르 또는 시멘트 페이스트에는 다양한 종류의 섬유를 혼합하여 인장력으로 인한 균열을 방지하고 있다. 이와 같이 시멘트로 고결된 토목재료의 인장강도는 주로 간접적인 방법으로 인장강도를 평가하는 쪼갬인장시험으로 평가해 왔다. 본 연구에서는 강섬유 또는 PVA 섬유를 중량비로 0, 0.5, 또는 1% 혼합한 시멘트 페이스트 내에 유압 실린더를 내장한 직경 15cm, 높이 30cm의 공시체를 제작한 다음 공시체 내부에서 직접 인장력을 가하는 직접인장시험법을 개발하였다. 또한 동일한 재료로 직경 5cm, 높이 10cm 공시체를 만들어 쪼갬인장시험을 실시하여 인장강도 시험방법에 따른 시멘트 페이스트의 인장강도를 비교, 평가하였다. 각각의 공시체는 대기 중에서 7일 또는 28일 양생한 다음 인장시험을 실시하였다. 시험방법에 따른 인장강도는 내장형 실린더를 이용한 직접인장시험법이 쪼갬인장시험법 보다 96-290% 정도 높은 값을 보였다. 한편 두 종류의 인장시험법에 대한 3차원 유한요소해석을 실시하였으며, 실험 결과와 유사하게 내장형 실린더 인장시험법이 3배 정도 높은 인장강도를 보였다. 섬유 혼합량이 1%까지 증가함에 따라 인장강도는 시험방법에 관계없이 7일 양생한 공시체는 119-190%, 28일 양생한 공시체는 23-131%까지 증가하였으며, 양생일수가 7일에서 28일로 증가함에 따라 인장강도는 대부분 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 대부분의 경우 강섬유가 포함된 경우보다 PVA 섬유가 포함된 경우에 약 14-38% 정도 높은 인장강도를 보였다. Various fibers are reinforced to protect tensile cracks occurred in concrete, cement mortar, or cement paste. A tensile strength of such materials utilized in civil engineering has been commonly tested by an indirect splitting tensile test (Brazillian test). In this study, a direct tensile testing method was developed with built-in cylinder inside a cylindrical specimen with 15 cm in diameter and 30 cm in height. The testing specimen was prepared with 0, 0.5, or 1% (by weight) of a PVA or steel fiber reinforced mortar. A specimen with 5 cm in diameter and 10 cm in height was also prepared and tested for the splitting tensile test. Each specimen was air cured for 7 days or 28 days before testing. A tensile strength of built-in cylinder test showed 96-290% higher than that of splitting tensile test. The 3D finite element analyses on these tensile tests showed that the tensile strength from built-in cylinder test had 3 times higher than splitting tensile test. It is similar to experimental result. As an amount of fiber increased from 0 to 1%, its tensile strength increased 119-190% or 23-131% for 7 days or 28 days-cured specimens, respectively. As a curing period increased from 7 days to 28 days, its strength decreased. Most of a specimen reinforced with PVA fiber showed 14-38% higher tensile strength than that of steel fiber reinforced specimens.

In this study, change the shape of Suction Pile and Short Pile to improve economy and efficiency. studied with Pull out test on suction pile and using numerical analysis on short pile to improve efficiency of underwater structure’s connecting method. As a result, more economical and efficient shape is proposed .

Enlargement of civil Engineering has led to an increase in size of the earthwork, and the rate of change based on the circle ground excavated soil volume for accurate estimating the economic value due to a change in the orrect application of ratio of earthvolume is to be preferred. Recently The four rivers projects were conducted in the stream sediment sampling some different regions, depending on the circumstances but most of the sediment samples are collected by using a dredge pump, dredgied earth materials put open storege area for a long time and a new yard was kept in the form that are exported for sale or use. Dredged soil caused four rivers project can be classified into aggregate used in constuctions and aggregate to piled up in open air-yard. and the loss of a large amount of aggregate occurred during this process. But this losses were not predictable at the time of occurrence underwater dredge and after aggregate sales completed I was able to find a difference in the carry and export volume. lack of measurement data caused clear rational reason of aggregate loss. So in this study, when lack of measurement data, Like four rivers bed arrangement construction, among several causes of loss resulting from dredging, I understand that soil pore water of dredged soil effect to change of volume and range & cause of loss through a secure laboratory model tests of related data. I present new direction to apply Soil Volume Conversion Factor by the dredging of sediment.

Tensible force measuring country through the Numerical Analysis on cause and effect analysis and anchor of engineering and construction, maintenance problems and improvements would suggest to you. 그라운드 앵커 공법은 도심지 지하구조물 및 건축물 지하층 굴착을 위한 가설 흙막이 벽체의 지지를 위해 주로 사용되어 왔으며, 1990년대 후반부터 점차 도로 및 철도 등 건설공사 비탈면 등의 영구적인 보강 및 안정적 확보라는 측면으로 그 사용범위를 넓혀오고 있다. 특히, 건설시 깎기 비탈면이 대형화되고 환경 친화적인 측면에서 자연 지형의 훼손을 최소화하기 위하여 비탈면 경사를 가파르게 설계해야 되는 경우가 많아 지면서 급경사 암반 비탈면에 가장 효과적인 비탈면 안정공법으로 인식되어 매년 급속하게 확산되고 있다. 이러한 비탈면 보강 및 안정성 확보를 위해 사용되는 영구 앵커는 그 대상 구조물의 내구연한 이상의 내구성을 확보하여야 하며, 적절한 유지관리를 통해 안정성을 지속적으로 확보하여야 한다. 앵커는 지반여건 및 시간경과에 따라 긴장력이 감소할 수 있는 가능성을 가지고 있으므로 시공 및 유지 관리시 세심한 주의를 기울여서 관리 하여야 함에도 현재까지 이에 대한 실태 조사 및 연구가 부족하여 앵커를 관리 하여야 한다는 인식이 부족하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 비탈면 보강을 위해 사용하고 있는 영구 앵커의 설계, 시공 및 유지관리의 문제점과 개선방안을 도출하여 비탈면 안정성 확보 및 효율적인 유지관리를 도모하고자 함이다. 이를 위해 현재 국내에 설치된 비탈면 앵커에 대하여 잔존 긴장력 측정을 통하여 현재 상태에 대한 점검을 실시하였고, 인발시험 결과와 비탈면 앵커 하중계 측정 데이터를 분석하여 긴장력 감소 원인을 찾고, 최근에 시공된 파쇄대 지반에 시공된 앵커의 설계시 지반조사 및 잔존 긴장력 측정 결과를 분석하였으며, 현재 앵커 하중 관리기준에 대한 기초 연구가 부족하여 수치해석을 통해 앵커의 잔존하중과 비탈면 안전율의 관계에 대해서 연구를 수행하였다.

      • 동영상 UCC 제작을 활용한 미술교과와 진로교육 연계 프로그램 연구

        With the constant change of a social structure and a labor market, teenagers should grasp precise information and plan their future job through the career education tailored to modern society. In this study, you can see expanded career search activities and career education programs that are connected with art education. Through this programs, we can cultivate a creative-minded talented person who are suitable for modern society. Through the art education curriculum which deals with ‘experience’, ‘expression’, ‘appreciation’ and the career education curriculum which includes ‘understanding oneself and developing social capacity’, ‘understanding jobs and the job world’, ‘exploring career’, and ‘designing and preparing for one’s career’, we explore variety of job categories in advance. Based on this, the art education is conducted and it focuses on connecting other general subjects and career education. For the study mentioned above, chapter 1 presents the purpose and necessity of the study. In chapter 2, the concept of career education, the importance of career education and the evidence on its educational value are presented so that we can examine the tendency of the study. In chapter 3, we examined through the objectives and contents of ‘2015 Revised Middle School Art Curriculum’ and ‘the curriculum of a job and career education’, analyzed the connection of a career education within the curriculum of an art education. In addition, we analyzed career activities that are included in Middle School free semester and the experience-based creative activities. Based on the result of the analysis, as the career education is dealt importantly in general subjects and free semester system, constant study is required. In chapter 4, career activities and learning contents within the textbook of ‘2015 Revised Middle School Art Curriculum’ are analyzed. Most of the activities were limited to simple expressions and experience-based area. ‘Understanding oneself and developing social capacity’, ‘understanding jobs and the job world’, and ‘exploring career’ contents are well organized in career and job curriculum, but ‘designing and preparing career’ area was left much to be desired. In order to compensate this, chapter 5 deals with the program that includes ‘experience’, ‘expression’, ‘appreciation’ area of ‘2015 Revised Middle School Art Curriculum’, which are connected with ‘exploring art related job world’ and ‘producing video UCC utilizing famous art works and jobs’. The educational effect is drawn through the program developed with six classes all together for the mixed education Middle School students in Sacheon city area. This study focuses on job exploring activities and the experience-based program to help students choose specific future jobs. Also, the study put an importance on motivating students interests and changing their awareness on career education through the introduced program. Due to 2015 revised education curriculum, career education puts an emphasis on activity-focused classes. Therefore, connecting an art education and a career education is useful for enhancing these activities. In addition, the connected program can operated not merely within an art subject but merging with other subjects. In order to provide variety of career education to students, the constant study on the program is needed.
