        Cosmetics are products that come into direct contact with the skin, which inevitably leads to high interest in natural ingredients that are harmless to the human body. Among these natural cosmetics, many basic cosmetics such as skin lotion are on the market, but mascara products, which are color tone cosmetics, are not noticeable. Mascara is a colored cosmetic that has strong contact with the eyes to stimulate the health of the eye. In particular, the use of mascara has many examples of eye health problems, which are analyzed for the effects of heavy metals contained in raw materials used in colorimetric materials.In this study, we applied research on coffee beans, which are natural materials instead of black iron oxide used as black pigment in mascara, and studied the possibility of products as mascara and the safety of heavy metals. The coffee bean extract extracted from 60-90% ethanol was analyzed by Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) at the first stage. In 90% ethanol, various other ingredients besides caffeine are detected, and the detected ingredients decrease as the proportion of ethanol decreases. As a second step, mascara was produced using coffee beans extracted with ethanol. For mascara production, for comparative analysis, black iron oxide which is a raw material of commercially available mascara and coffee bean extract extracted with ethanol were produced and compared and analyzed. In the third step, the functional aspects of commercially available mascara and coffee bean mascara were confirmed and the substance properties were compared and analyzed. The color tone was measured using a color difference meter and the viscosity was analyzed using Viscometry. In the fourth step, mascara made of bean extract was analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) to determine heavy metals including Lead (Pb), Nickel (Ni), arsenic (As). As a result, the manufactured mascara identified a tendency for the heavy metal content to decrease as the raw bean extract content increases.The results of this study showed that color and texture of coffee bean - containing mascaras were not significantly different from commercial mascaras. And Through ICP-MS analysis, the content of heavy metals is lower than that of graphite iron. ATherefore, as a result of this study, mascara containing the proto-head extract can be applied as a natural mascara and is expected to be applied to the research of color tone cosmetics such as mascara in the future.

        Due to continuous environmental pollution, the use of shower filters in routine life is increasing, and the number of patients is steadily increasing due to rust in aging pipes and various bacteria and viruses17 that inhabit underground water. In addition, huge budgets and processes are being invested in the operation of the water purification system, but there is still growing anxiety over drinking water and living water. Various products including vitamins and scents are introduced in shower filters, but generally, the filter cycle is short or the stored water causes germs. Therefore, this study conducted a study on functional antibacterial balls that showed antibacterial function even when water was stored using a 3D printer. In this study, in order to manufacture antibacterial balls in shower filter, the balls of PLA, PE, and PETG were first manufactured with 3D printer, and 0.01M and 0.05M diazonium salts were bonded on to the surface of the balls of each material, and the antimicrobial coating was carried out through metal adhesive reaction. Antibacterial balls coated with antibacterial on each material are expected to maintain antibacterial properties for a long time, as they have been formed through chemical displacement-sharing bonds unlike conventional ceramic antimicrobial balls. In this study, the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) analysis7-11 confirmed that diazonium salts were well bonded to each plastic surface, and that 0.05M diazonium salts were more than 7 times the gatzonium salts on the plastic ball surface. In addition, the analysis of antimicrobiality by Spectrophotometer confirmed that all three types of plastics coated with 0.05M diazonium salt do not proliferate after an hour. The results of this study are expected to show excellent antibacterial effects if anti-bacterial balls are applied to household water and drinking water as well as shower filters.

        This study is a method of managing hair loss scalp and is widely used as a treatment for scalp tonics and hair loss, which are highly stable and widely used for scalp care. It identifies the use status and perception of minoxidil, an application drug, to provide basic data for the scalp hair cosmetics industry for hair loss people in the future and to revitalize it. I want to contribute. From March 10 to March 31, 2023, 203 copies of male and female adults in their 20s and 60s living in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and all other regions are available. It was analyzed as a target. The data analysis method of this study was analyzed using SPSS 25.0, and the detailed analysis method is as follows. First, the survey participants' personal characteristics, scalp and hair condition and management status, stress caused by hair loss, and awareness and management of hair loss. Frequency analysis and multiple response frequency analysis were conducted to understand the actual condition, scalp shampoo, tonic, and minoxidil use. Second, in order to determine whether there is a difference in the use of scalp shampoo and tonic according to general characteristics, quantitative questions are averaged comparative analysis (t-test, One-way random analysis) was performed, and Scheffe was used for post-verification. Qualitative questions were cross-analyzed, and post-verification was conducted with Chi-sqare. Fisher's accuracy test was used, and statistical significance was verified by the Monte Carlo method using bootstrap. Their scalp care (Head Spa Therapy) was found to have an above-average positive preference for scalp health and relief of hair loss symptoms (86.7%). Shampoo replacement and scalp tonic are the first and most important actions to prevent scalp disease and relieve hair loss symptoms.       • 건조 쪽을 이용한 모발 천연염색의 표면 염색성 및 염착량

        The purpose of this study is to determine the degree of hair dyeing according to the presence or absence of mordant use and the dyeing time using the dry indigo, the bleached hair sample was pre-mordded in alum (reagent, 5%, owh, on the weight of hair) solution for 10 minutes and then When dyeing at ℃ for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, and 40 minutes, the maximum absorption wavelength of dyeing on the dry side was 420 nm. The result is as follows. First, when a mordant (Al) was used, the overall color was dyed green, and the L* value was the highest when staining for 10 minutes, followed by 20 minutes and 30 minutes. Also, both a* and b* values were found to be high in the order of 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes. In the case of 40-minute staining, it was the lowest. Second, when no mordant was used, all were dyed in blue green, and the L* values were high for a* and b* values in the order of 10 minutes, 20 minutes, and 30 minutes. In the case of 40-minute staining, it was the lowest. Third, in the case of K/S of the amount of dyeing, the K/S value was higher when alum mordant was not applied, and the K/S value was lower when alum mordant was applied. In both mordant and non-mordant staining, the amount of dyeing increased as the time increased for 10, 20, and 30 minutes of staining, but after 30 minutes, the dyeing was no longer combined and the dye was no longer darkly dyed. It was found that the amount of dyeing and saturation decreased as the time increased.

      • 두피·모발제품 사용실태 및 모발에센스사용에 따른 만족도 연구 : 10대∼60대 여성대상으로

        This study examines the actual condition of use of scalp and hair cosmetics for women in their 10s to 60s who are busy with work, childcare, and learning. Also it verifies the effects of rough hair improvement and usability and satisfaction of hair products that are harmless to the scalp through self-home care using hair essence. This study not only contributes to healthy and beautiful hair management of women, but also provides basic data for continuously growing scalp and hair industries, and related studies. The results of this study are as follows: First, as a result of the purchase and use of hair cosmetics, essence/serum were used the most, except for shampoo and conditioner/treatment basically used in scalp and hair cosmetics. Most of the respondent purchased hair cosmetics once in every two to three months through the internet and home shopping. When purchasing hair cosmetics, it was found that the after-use effect was the most important factor. Second, the difference of hair moisture increase after using hair essence with heat is verified through a preliminary experiment that using hair essence with heat have higher luster and oiliness. According to the human experiments, both the experimental group and the control group increased the gloss and moisture of the hair, and they were visually evaluated through a monitor with the 400x magnification diagnostic measurement. Third, it was confirmed that the difference in hair texture according to heat treatment after using the home care hair essence in both groups that the rough hair cuticles became smooth after the treatment. Fourth, both groups showed high satisfaction overall after using hair essence. The result showed that the hair improvement, overall satisfaction, moisturizing power of hair, hair texture, future intention to use, necessity of maintaining and improving hair health, and acquaintance recommendation were very positive. In conclusion, when comparing the satisfaction average for the experimental results by group, the overall average of the experimental group was 4.41 points and the control group was 4.31 points, so it would be better to heat-treat the hair essence after using it.

        Astrigent persimmon fruit resources have been used traditionally to treat different systemic diseases and acclaimed for various biological activities including hair growth. This study investigates the hair restoration efficacy of astrigent persimmon fruit extracts on genetically predisposed to balding pattern Black mice model. Water extract of astrigent persimmon fruit(10 mg/mouse/day) with standardized vehicle formulation, only vehicle and positive control minoxidil (2%) were applied daily until completion of two full hair growth generations. The changing pattern of hair growth were observed through two hair growth generations of C57BL/6 Black mice. The hair existing area and hair length was increased significantly (P > 0.001) in astrigent persimmon fruit treated mice than vehicle-treated control mice. Furthermore, histological assessment revealed that the number of hair follicles did not remarkably increase after astrigent persimmon fruit treatment in compare to control mice. Thus, our data revealed that the topical application of astrigent persimmon fruit may promote hair growth in nude mice by extend the hair existing area and increase hair length which is an indicator of prolong anagen phase.

        In this study, the effect of hair brushing on reducing dandruff and enhancing hair gloss, which is an indicator of hair health, was examined. Hair brushing is a technique that can be incorporated into a daily routine to promote scalp health and prevent hair loss in a busy schedule. Hair brushing is a technique that can be incorporated into a daily routine to promote scalp health and prevent hair loss in a busy schedule. All participants used the same shampoo, provided with instructions on how to use the brush as part of their home care routine for a period of 30 days. Prior to the experiment, researchers conducted a survey to assess participants' expectations, targeting 20 individuals of both genders aged in their 20s to 60s. The results showed that 65.0% of participants responded positively, with an average rating of 3.95 out of 5. Statistical significance was verified through a comparative analysis of average hair gloss measured before and after the experiment using the MPA6 MDD4 Scalp Glossymeter GL200 Probe (Germany). The average hair gloss increased from 2.25 points before the experiment to 2.79 points after the experiment, showing a statistically significant difference. The results showed a statistically significant difference (t=-5.273, p<.05). In addition, a comparative analysis of images for scalp desquamation (using COMSCAM UBS 225, Korea) visually confirmed a significant decrease. Additionally, it was observed that the participants had positive expectations regarding the beneficial effects of using a hairbrush before shampooing to manage dry scalp and promote scalp health. Participants expressed the highest intention to continue using the hairbrush with a score of 4.50, and it was noted that they also had a high intention to recommend the hairbrush to others with a score of 4.40. This appears to be the result reflecting the effects of hair brushing and psychological satisfaction. All six satisfaction items, including the two mentioned above, showed satisfaction scores exceeding the median of 3 points, indicating a high satisfaction level with the effectiveness and user experience of the hairbrush.
