토픽 모델링 LDA기법을 적용한 한국골프학회 연구 트렌드 분석(2007-2023)

[목적] 이 연구는 한국골프학회의 학문적 정체성과 골프산업의 미래 과제를 탐색하기 위하여 한국골프학회 창간호인 2007년부터 2023년 6월까지 게재된 논문을 대상으로 토픽 모델링을 적용하여 연구 트렌드를 분석하는 것이다. [방법] RISS에서 검색된 국내 학술연구 자료 중 국문 초록을 사용하였다. 검색 기간은 2007년~2023년 6월 게재까지 최종 720건의 연구자료를 선정했다. 자료처리는 Python 3.0을 이용한 빈도분석, 워드클라우드 시각화 분석, 토픽 모델링(LDA 모델 적용), pyLDAvis를 이용한 시각화 분석을 수행하였다. [결과] 토픽은 4가지로 선정되었으며, 골프장 서비스품질 향상을 위한 고객의도 파악과 개선 전략, 선수들의 몰입도와 전문성에 미치는 요인 분석, 프로 골퍼들의 스윙 기술과 경기력, 골프용품 브랜드의 경쟁력 강화에 관한 연구로 구분되었다. [결론] 한국골프학회는 골프산업의 미래 발전과 경쟁력 강화에 기여하며, 산업의 지속적인 성장과 확장에 도움이 될 것이다. 또한, 산업 현장에서도 이러한 전략들을 실제로 적용하여 새로운 비즈니스 기회를 발굴하고 고객들의 만족도를 높이는 데에 활용할 수 있을 것이다. [Purpose] This study analyzes research trends by applying topic modeling to papers registered from 2007 to June 2023, the first issue of the Korean Society of Golf Studies, to explore the academic identity of the Korean Society of Golf Studies and future tasks of the golf industry. [Method] Korean abstract was used among domestic academic research data searched in RISS. The search period selected the final 720 research data from 2007 to June 2023. For data processing, frequency analysis using Python 3.0, word cloud visualization analysis, topic modeling (applied to the LDA model), and visualization analysis using pyLDAvis were performed. [Results] Four topics were selected, and they were divided into research on identifying and improving customer intentions to improve golf course service quality, analyzing factors affecting players' immersion and expertise, swing skills and performance of professional golfers, and strengthening the competitiveness of golf equipment brands. [Conclusion] The Korean Society of Golf Studies contributes to the future development and competitiveness of the golf industry, and will help the industry continue to grow and expand. In addition, these strategies can be applied in the industrial field to discover new business opportunities and increase customer satisfaction.

한국여자프로골퍼의 성공담론에 대한 사회문화적 분석

[목적] 한국사회에서 공유되는 한국여자프로골프 성공담론을 사회문화적 맥락에서 살펴보고, 미디어텍스트를 분석 할 것이다. 이를 통해 한국여자프로골프의 담론 형성에 새로운 장을 마련해보고자 한다. [방법] 1단계의 문헌연구, 2단계는 미디어텍스트 추출을 위하여 신문기사분석을 실시하였다. 3단계는 미디어 텍스 트를 분석하여 범주화한 담론을 선수들과의 심층 면담을 통해 재확인하여, 선수들의 미디어 성공담론에 대한 인 식을 분석하였다. [결과] 한국여자프로골프의 성공에 대한 시대별 고찰은 한국여자골프가 본격적으로 형성된 1970 년대부터 현재까지 역사적 사건을 중심으로 자생기(1970년대 중반 ∼ 1987년), 전환기(1988년 ∼ 1997년), 발전기 (1998년 ∼ 현재)로 구분되었다. [결론] 한국여자프로골프에 대한 미디어 성공담론은 범주별로 다르게 나타났으며, 이를 KLPGA 소속 선수들과의 심층면담을 통해 확인한 결과, 상당수의 미디어담론들이 실제 사실과 다른 왜곡된 인식에 기반 하여 담론을 생산하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. [Purpose] This study was conducted to provide base line data of new Korean Ladies Professional Golf(KLPG) discourse formation by the media report, discourse, and ideology structure which are diversely producing the discourse issues of KLPG, continuously receiving attention from the Korean society. [Method] First, the process of change by era on KLPG success has been followed through literature review. Second, media texts on KLPG were collected and analysed by media frame analysis. Third, the contents of analysis were used for depth interview with ladies professional golfer in KLPG. [Result] Study of KLPG by era was divided into Autogenous period (mid 1970s to 1987), Transition period (1988 to 1997), and Developing period (1998 to present) based on historical events from 1970s when Korean Ladies Golf began. [Conclusion] After depth interview with players in Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association(KLPGA) with contents based on categorized media texts for critical analysis on KLPG success discourse were found to be producing discourse based on distorted perspective.

한국골프의 효시에 관한 담론

[목적] 본 연구는 한국 골프의 기원에 대한 담론을 통해 한국 골프 도입 시기를 재정립하고자 한다. 원산과 효창원에 각각 설치된 골프장에 대한 사료를 분석하여 한국 골프의 효시를 학문적으로 고찰하고, 한국 골프사 정립의 기초자료로 삼고자 하였다. [방법] 문헌고찰법을 활용하여 1·2차 자료를 수집하고, 관련 사료를 상호주관적 관점에서 분석하였다. [결과] 연구 결과, 1900년 원산의 골프장은 한국인과의 연관성 및 기록의 지속성이 부족하여 효시로 보기 어렵고, 1921년 효창원 골프장이 한국 최초의 공식적 골프장으로 평가된다. [결론] 효창원 골프장이 한국 골프의 효시로 적합하며, 이를 기반으로 한국 골프 역사를 재정립하는 것이 타당하다. [Purpose] This study aims to reestablish the origins of golf in Korea by examining historical discourses on its introduction. Through analysis of records related to golf courses established in Wonsan and Hyochangwon, the study seeks to provide an academic foundation for defining the beginnings of Korean golf history. [Method] Using a literature review approach, the study collected primary and secondary sources, analyzing relevant records from an intersubjective perspective. [Results] The analysis shows that the Wonsan golf course from 1900 lacks sufficient connection to Koreans and continuity in records, making it difficult to consider as the origin. Conversely, the Hyochangwon golf course established in 1921 is identified as Korea’s first official golf course. [Conclusion] The Hyochangwon golf course is suitable to be recognized as the origin of Korean golf, providing a basis for redefining the history of golf in Korea.

PGA 투어 한국남자 선수들의 골프경기력 분석

[Purpose] This study was to analyze the golf performance of Korean men players using data of golf players who participated in PGA tour for 19 years from 2000 to 2018. [Method] The eight variables of golf performance were selected and the descriptive statistics were compared and analyzed. In addition, multiple linear regression analysis was conducted to analyze the effects of golf technology factors on prize money ranking. [Result] Korean golfers showed good results in average putting number, scrambling, bunker save rate and non-Korean golfers showed good results in driver distance and green hit rate. The total number of Korean players in the past was 27 wins, Korean players were 16 wins, and American-Korean players were 11 wins. [Conclusion] As a result of examining the relative contribution of Korean athletes to the prize money rankings in the PGA tour competition, it was shown that the average number of hits, average number of birdies, average number of putts, and green hit rate were in order. [목적] 본 연구에서는 2000년부터 2018년까지 총 19년간 PGA 투어에 참가한 골프선수들의 자료를 이용하여 한국남자 선수들의 골프 경기력 분석을 하고자 하였다. [방법] 골프 경기력 9개의 변인을 선정하여 기술통계를 비교분석, 상관분석을 하였다. 상금순위에 대하여 골프 경기력 요인들의 기여도의 분석을 위하여 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. [결과] 한국 골프선수들은 평균 퍼팅수, 스크램블링, 벙커세이브율에서 좋은 결과를 보였으며, 비한국 골프선수들은 드라이버 비거리, 그린 적중률에서 좋은 결과를 보였다. 역대 한국선수들의 총 우승 횟수는 27승으로 나타났고, 한국선수들은 16승, 한국계 선수들은 11승의 결과를 보였다. [결론] PGA 투어대회에 참가한 한국선수들의 상금순위에 대한 상대적 기여도를 살펴본 결과 평균 타수, 평균 버디수, 평균 퍼팅수, 그린 적중률 순으로 나타났다.

DEA 모형을 통한 한국여자프로골프 선수의 효율성 평가 및 경기성적과 상금 영향 분석

[목적] 한국여자프로골프(KLPGA) 선수의 효율성에 대해 이론적으로 개념화하고 해당 효율성이 실제 선수의 경기성적에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것에 연구의 목적이 있다. [방법] 실증결과를 도출하기 위해 최근 10년(2014~2023년) 동안 한국여자프로골프 투어에 참여한 2,527명의 선수 경기기록을 KLPGA 홈페이지와 대회 이벤트 페이지에서 수집하여 패널 데이터를 구축하고 R4.3.1을 활용하여 자료포락분석을 시행하였다. 아울러, STATA 16을 활용하여 패널 분석방법 중 GLS 회귀분석모형을 적용하여 프로골프선수의 효율성이 톱텐 피니쉬율(TOP10 Finish), 상금, 평균 타수에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. [결과] 한국여자프로골프 선수의 효율성은 선수의 성적에 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 구체적으로 본 연구의 실증분석 결과 효율성이 높은 선수들이 우승을 경험할 가능성이 크다고 볼 수 있으며, 톱텐 피니쉬율, 상금, 상금 포인트 각각의 변수와 유의한 상관관계가 있다. [결론] 최근 골프연구의 분야에서 중요한 개념으로 부상하고 있는 선수 효율성에 대해 이론적으로 확장하고 실증함으로써 한국여자프로골프 선수의 성적을 명확하게 규명하고 실무적으로 유용한 참고자료의 기능이 있을 것으로 판단된다. [Purpose] The purpose of this study is to theoretically conceptualize the efficiency of KLPGA golfers and to identify the effect of efficiency on actual player performance. [Method] To derive our empirical results, we collected the game statistics and outcome records of 2,527 players who participated in the KLPGA Tour for the last 10 years (2014~2023) from the KLPGA website and tournament event pages to systematically construct a panel data and conducted a data envelopment analysis using R4.3.1. In addition, the GLS regression model was applied to analyze the effect of professional golfers' efficiency on their TOP10 finish rate, prize money, and average strokes gained using the STATA 16 statistical software package. [Result] Our statistical results find that the efficiency of KLPGA golfers affects their performance. Specifically, the empirical analysis of this study shows that players with higher efficiency are more likely to experience wins and are significantly correlated with each of the following variables: top ten finishes, prize money, and prize points. [Conclusion] By theoretically extending and empirically demonstrating player efficiency, which has recently emerged as an important concept in the field of golf research, this study is expected to clearly identify the performance of Korean women's professional golfers and serve as a useful reference in practice.

자기결정성(Self-Determination) 이론으로 바라본 한국골프산업 : 연령에 따른 골프참여 동기와 재미의 차이를 중심으로

[목적] 지난 20년간 전 세계 골프인구가 점진적이고 지속적으로 감소하고 있는 것과는 다르게 꾸준히 성장 중인 한국골프산업을 이해하기 위해 한국골퍼들의 연령에 따른 골프참여 동기와 재미의 차이를 분석하는 데에 본 연 구의 목적을 두고 있다. [방법] 한국골프산업 소비자들의 자발적인 참여로 수집된 316부의 설문지는 SPSS/AMOS 23.0을 통해 신뢰도 및 타당도를 분석했고, 다변량 분산분석(Multivariate Analysis of Variance)을 활용하여 참여자 들의 소비 행동을 비교 및 분석했다. [결과] 운동참여 동기와 관련해서 연령이 낮은 골퍼들의 경우 사교와 내적동 기에서 높은 결과가 나왔지만, 연령이 높은 골퍼들의 경우 건강동기에서 높은 결과를 보였다. 또한 운동재미와 관련해서는 연령이 낮은 그룹이 상대적으로 인식요인에서 높은 결과를 보였다. 추가적으로 주목할만한 점은 연령 과는 상관없이 모든 참여가 외적과시 동기요인에서 가장 높은 결과값을 나타냈다. [결론] 본 연구를 통해 연령에 따라 한국 사람들은 왜 골프를 즐기는가? 그리고 왜 골프가 재미있는가? 에 대한 의미 있는 결과를 도출했으며 전 연령대에서 높은 결과를 보인 외적과시 요인과 같은 한국골프산업만의 특징도 발견할 수 있었다. [Purpose] To understand the Korean golf industry, which has continued to grow despite the gradual and steady decline of the global golf participation over the past two decades, the present study aims to analyze differences in golf participation motive and fun by the age of Korean golfers. [Method] With voluntarily participated consumers in the Korean golf industry, 316 surveys were analyzed for reliability and validity using SPSS/AMOS 23.0, and Multivariate Analysis of Variance(MANOVA) was used to compare and analyze the participants’consumption behaviors. [Result] On participation motivation factor, younger golfers showed a higher score on socialization and internal motivation, while older golfers showed a higher score on health motivation. Furthermore, on fun factor, the younger group showed a higher score on the perception factor. What is also worth noting is that all participants regardless of their age showed the highest score on the show-off motivation factor. [Conclusion] This study identified significant results depending on the age of Korean golfers about why Koreans enjoy playing golf and why they find golf fun, and also observed the Korean golf industry’distinctive feathers(e.g., showoff factor), which received the highest score across all age groups.

소셜 빅데이터를 활용한 한국 남녀 프로골프대회 텍스트마이닝 비교 분석

[목적] 한국의 프로골퍼를 스타마케팅으로 활용할 수 있는 자료를 제공하는 측면에서 한국 프로골퍼 이미지를 수요자 중심으로 객관화시키는 목적으로 본 연구에서는 소셜 빅테이터를 활용하여 한국 남녀 프로골프대회 키워드로 텍스트마이닝을 비교 분석하 였다. [방법] 결과 도출을 위해 2008년도부터 2018년도까지 시간적 범위를 설정한 후, 한국 남녀 프로골프대회 키워드로 관련 기 사 및 댓글을 자료로 수집하여 텍스트마이닝, 의미연결망, 소셜데이터 분석을 실시하였다. [결과] 도출된 결과를 살펴보면, 첫째 언론기사의 텍스트 출현은 여자 프로골퍼의 빈도가 높았다. 둘째 연도별 남녀 프로골프선수 빈도는 여자 프로골퍼 상위 10위 선 수의 키워드가 상대적으로 높았으며, 여자는 상승패턴, 남자는 하락패턴 경향을 보였다. 셋째, 남녀 프로골프선수의 의미연결망 분석에서는 여자프로골퍼들이 강한 군집 연결망을 보였으며 해외 선수들의 관련 내용을 중심으로 네트워크가 강하게 구성되었다. 넷째 소셜빅데이터 분석에서는 남자가 부정적, 여자가 긍정적으로 강한 의미성을 보였다. [결론] 골프산업 기업들이 선수를 후원 하거나 스타마케팅 정책을 수립한다면, 해외파 여자 프로골퍼의 종합적 이미지가 팬들에게 호감을 줄 수 있어 이들을 선택하는 것이 소비자를 고려한 마케터의 최선책이라는 결론을 도출하였다. [Purpose] In order to provide data that uses Korean professional golfers as star marketing, this study analyzed text mining with keywords of Korean male and female professional golf tournaments using social big data, with the goal of objectively objectifying the professional golfer image projected on consumers. [Method] In order to derive the results, after setting the time range from 2008 to 2018, the related news articles and comments were collected with keywords of the Korean men and women professional golf competition, and text mining, semantic network analysis, and network analysis were conducted. [Result] According to the results, first, texts in the press articles appeared more frequently for female professional golfers. Second, the frequency of press articles on male and female professional golfers by year was relatively high in the keywords of the top 10 female professional golfers with the trend going upward for women and downward for men. Third, in the analysis of the semantic network of male and female professional golfers, female professional golfers showed a strong network of connections, and the network was strongly composed around the relevant content of overseas players. Fourth, in the analysis of social big data, males had significant negative significance and females had significant significance. [Conclusion] It is concluded that, when companies in the golf industry sponsor players or establish a star marketing policy, since the overall image of overseas women's professional golfers can appeal more to fans, they should choose them, which is deemed the best option for marketers considering consumers.

국내 골프장 산업의 현황과 전망

본 연구에서는 국내 골프장 산업의 현황을 알아보고 전망을 제시하고자 관련 자료를 수집 분석하였다. 국내 골프 장 산업의 현황을 알아보고자 국내 골프장의 시장규모, 골프장 수, 골프장 이용객 수, 경영실적, 경영지표, 이용료 를 조사하였고, 골프장 산업을 전망하고자 시장규모, 골프대중화 정책의 성과, 스크린골프의 출현과 성공, 일본 골프장 현황과 국내 전망을 살펴보고 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 한국의 골프장 산업 시장 규모 는 축소될 것으로 전망한다. 그러한 이유로 골퍼 수를 예측할 때 자연적인 인구 수의 감소를 반영해야 한다. 둘 째, 회원제 골프장은 예수보증금의 위험성과 경영수지가 더욱 악화되어 정부 차원의 대책이 필요하다. 지금 상태 로라면 경영 악화로 인한 회원권 하락과 골프장 파산으로 인한 깡통 회원권 피해자들이 더욱 늘어날 것으로 예 상된다. 셋째, 골프장의 경영은 어려워지겠지만 반대로 골퍼들의 요구가 다양해져 골프장의 경쟁은 심해지고 여 러 가지 특성화 전략이 이루어질 것으로 예상된다. This study looked into the present condition of domestic golf course industry and collected and analyzed relevant materials for the purpose of suggesting prospect for the industry. To inquire into the present condition of golf course industry, this study investigated market scale, number of golf courses and users, management performance, management index and subscription fees of domestic golf courses, and obtained following conclusions as a result of investigating and analyzing market scale, outcome of government policy for popularization of golf, appearance and success of screen golf course, present condition of Japan’s golf courses and prospect for domestic industry to prospect golf course industry. First, golf course industry of Korea is forecasted to be reduced in market scale. For the foregoing reason, natural reduction of number of population should be reflected in predicting the number of golfers. Second, countermeasures on a government level are considered necessary for membership golf courses due to the risk of deposit received for guarantee and degeneration of income and expenditure. If current situation continues, the number of victims by invalid membership due to slippage of membership and bankruptcy of golf courses is expected to increase more. Third, golf courses will be facing tough competition and a variety of strategies for differentiation are expected to be established as management of golf courses will be more difficult and demand of golfers will be diversified.

한국 남녀프로골프대회 경기장 유인요인 및 관람만족 비교분석

[목적] 본 연구는 한국 남녀프로골프의 경기장 유인요인과 관람만족을 비교 및 분석하여 서로의 장단점 발견하고 극 복과제를 제시하는 것을 연구목적으로 두고 있다. [방법] 구체적인 분석을 위해 한국에서 열린 프로골프대회에 관람 경험이 있는 334명의 골프팬에게 수집된 설문지를 바탕으로 예비조사를 통한 탐색적 요인분석, 타당도 검증을 위한 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도 계수인 알파를 이용한 신뢰도 검증 그리고 비교연구를 위한 일원다변량 분산분석을 실시했 다. [결과] 설문응답자들은 프로골프경기 관람경험을 토대로 2개의 그룹(남자골프 관람그룹과 여자골프 관람그룹)으 로 분류되었다. 남자골프 관람경험이 있는 응답자들에게서 시설, 비용 및 관람만족에서 높은 결과 값이 도출되었고, 여자골프 관람경험이 있는 응답자들은 마케팅, 지명도 그리고 위락성 요인에서 상대적으로 높은 결과 값을 나타냈 다. [결론] 결과적으로 남녀프로골프대회는 골프팬들에게 분명한 관람경험의 차이를 보였으며, 이는 남녀프로골프의 동반 성장을 위한 구체적인 분석의 필요성을 언급한 본 연구의 취지와도 일맥상통했다. [Purpose] This study aims to suggest measures to improve this imbalance by comparing the factors determining spectator attendance and satisfaction, and identifying strengths and weaknesses of both Korean women's and men's professional golf. [Method] A total of 334 golf fans who attended professional golf tournaments in Korea were surveyed, and their responses were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis through a pilot study, confirmatory factor analysis for validity, reliability coefficient alpha for reliability, and multivariate analysis of variance for a comparative analysis. [Result] According to their experience with professional golf tournaments, respondents were divided into two groups, as those who attended men's golf tournaments and those who attended women's golf tournaments. The spectators of men's golf tournaments showed a higher values when considering facilities, cost, and spectator satisfaction, while spectators of women's golf tournaments showed relatively higher values when considering marketing, awareness, and entertainment factors. [Conclusion] As a result, men's and women's golf tournaments revealed significant differences in spectator experience, which is in line with the purpose of this study—conducting an in-depth analysis to promote harmonious growth of men's and women's golf in Korea.

그들만의 리그, 한국 골프 도입의 역사적 배경

[Purpose] This study aimed to identify the specific historical background of the introduction of golf in Korea. [Method] To this end, newspaper articles and magazines related to the introduction of golf in Korea in the 20th century were analyzed. [Result] The introduction of golf in Korea in the 20th century was the result of golf functioning as a cohesive capital for colonial rule and stability ot the system under the unique political environment of Korea, which experienced multiple layers of Japanese occupation and US military rule. [Conclusion] British golf was introduced as a leisure means for Japanese bureaucrats, U.S. military personnel and the Korean ruling class in the 20th century, and was used as a driving force to achieve complex and multifaceted goals such as politics, society, culture, and diplomacy. [목적] 본 연구는 한국 골프 도입의 구체적인 역사적 배경을 규명하기 위한 시도이다. [방법] 이를 위해 20세기 한국 골프 도입과 관련된 신문기사와 잡지를 분석했다. [결과] 20세기 한국 골프의 도입은 일본의 점령과 미군정을 중층적으로 경험한 한국 특유의 정치적 환경 아래 골프가 식민지 지배와 체제 안정을 위한 결속적 자본으로 기능한 결과였다. [결론] 영국산 골프는 20세기 일본 관료와 미군 그리고 한국의 지배층들의 여가 수단으로 도입되어 그들의 정치·사회·문화·외교 등 복잡하고 다각적인 목적을 달성하기 위한 동력으로 활용되었다.
