This study examines the theological and practical implications of Helmut Thielicke’s life and theology, particularly in relation to the challenges the Korean church is facing. Thielicke’s theology was deeply rooted in his lived experiences, shaped by the historical crises of his time, including Nazi Germany and post-war reconstruction. Unlike theologians who developed abstract doctrinal systems detached from reality, Thielicke emphasized that theology must emerge from real-life struggles and be continuously tested in the existential challenges of the present. His commitment to bridging theology and practical life was evident in his sermons, ethical reflections, and engagement with both church and society. Building on Thielicke’s perspective, this study explores how the Korean church must undergo fundamental structural and doctrinal transformations to respond effectively to contemporary sociocultural dynamics. The Korean church, once a driving force in democratization and social modernization, now faces a crisis of relevance and legitimacy, struggling to retain its membership, particularly among younger generations. While prior research has predominantly examined internal factors contributing to this decline, this paper argues that external structural challenges—such as the global crisis of representative democracy, the limitations of capitalism, and the rise of populist political movements—have also significantly shaped the church’s current predicament. As a result, the Korean church is increasingly perceived as part of the established institutional order, alienating younger believers who seek a faith that is both existentially meaningful and socially engaged. To address these challenges, this study proposes two key directions for the Korean church based on Thielicke’s integration of life and theology: (1) The Innovation of Theology and Preaching, advocating for a shift from doctrinal rigidity to preaching that engages existential concerns, resonates with contemporary realities, and integrates interdisciplinary insights, including those from modern science and ethics; (2) The Restoration of Contemporary Community, emphasizing the need for a church structure that accommodates diverse social groups, including single adults and non-traditional family structures, rather than focusing exclusively on nuclear family models; By integrating Thielicke’s life-centered theological vision with contemporary issues, this study aims to provide a framework for the Korean church to regain its social credibility, effectively engage with modern believers, and redefine its mission in a pluralistic and rapidly changing society. Thielicke’s legacy challenges the church to move beyond rigid doctrinal systems and instead embody a living faith that responds to the existential realities of each generation.

많은 기독 영성가들과 신학자들은 기도에 대한 신학적 의미와 방법에 대하여, 어떻게 기도를 해야 하나님과의 소통과 교감을 효율적으로 할 수 있는지 연구하였다. 기존 연구의 대부분은 인문학적 방법론이었으며, 본 연구에서는 이 기도 중 합심기도의 방법을 자연과학적 원리를 적용하여 연구하였다. 그러나 관련 선행연구자료가 없어 아리스토텔레스의 정언삼단논법 논리로 3가지 주제에 관해 연구를 하여, 기존 합심기도의 신학적 의미를 더욱 확대하고자 한다. 즉, 기도와 명상시 뇌의 변화에 대한 뇌과학적 분석과 이때 발생하는 뇌파의 파동물리학적 분석 및 특성을 살펴보고, 뇌파의 전자기파적 관점에서 공명 조건 등을 연구하여, 그 결과로 효율적인 합심기도의 방법론을 제시하며, 또한 이러한 통찰은, 뇌과학에서 어떤 상황에 대한 인간 사이의 공감과 전파에 대하여 새로운 해석을 제시할 수도 있으며, 이와 유사한 다양한 문제들에 대하여 폭 넓게 적용될 수도 있다. Many Christian spiritual leaders and theologians have conducted researches on the theological meaning and methods of prayer, exploring how prayer can be effectively used as a means of communication and communion with God. Most existing studies have employed methods rooted in the human sciences, but this research focuses on the method of prayer together and investigates it through the application of principles from natural sciences, specifically brain science and wave physics. However, due to the lack of relevant prior research, this study takes an Aristotelian syllogistic approach to examine three main topics, aiming to further expand the theological significance of prayer together. Specifically, it explores the neurological changes during prayer and meditation, analyzes characteristics of brainwaves that occur during these practices from the perspective of wave physics, investigates resonant conditions from an electromagnetic wave perspective, and presents a methodology for effective prayer with one accord based on the findings. Furthermore, these insights may also provide new interpretations regarding human empathy and transmission in the field of brain science, and they have the potential to be applied to a wide range of similar issues.

Preaching plays an important role in worship. The growth of the Korean church has been accompanied by preaching. Preaching is a sacred means through which God's message is expressed through the preacher. That is why we need to pay more attention to and study sermons. In this study, we would like to present the direction in which the Korean church should move at this point in time, which is said to be a crisis of the Korean church and a crisis of preaching, as ‘preaching according to the church calendar.’We examine the overall understanding of sermons, including the definition of sermons, the history of preaching in Korean churches, and types of sermons in Korean churches, and present the necessity of sermons according to the church calendar. The church calendar allows you to experience God's time by following God's time based on the life of Jesus Christ. In particular, it presents the meaning of the church calendar by categorizing it from the perspectives of ‘time’ and ‘memory’. Lastly, I would like to introduce a plan for Lenten worship and sermons, which have not yet been specified in the Korean church, by referring to the service book of the United Methodist Church in the United State

본 논문은 성경 중심적이고, 경험적인 오감 활동을 통해 영유아들의 교회 공동체 교육을 이루어 나아가고자 한다. 또한, 가르치는 교수자들에게 오랜 미디어 교육의 장이 주는 편안함과 안주함에 멈추어 있지 않기 위한 다양한 교육사례 및 프로그램 계획을 제시하며 선행학자들의 이론을 기초로 하여 실제 교육 현장으로 실현될 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.
