집단미술치료가 만성 정신분열병 환자의 자존감과 사회성 개선에 미치는 영향

This study is to observe the changes in patients with low self-esteem and sociality deficit due to chronic schizophrenia during the course of art therapy, and to clarify the effects in enhancing self-esteem and sociality with the introduction of the therapeutic program. The researched matters were as follows; 1) How does the in-group art therapeutic program influence a self-esteem of chronic schizophrenia patients ? 2) How does the in-group art therapeutic program influence an improvement of sociality for chronic schizophrenia patients ? To prove these matters, KHTP was applied and compared with analyses; 12 rounds of art therapeutic programs were done with qualitative analyses of the changes in patients and their drawings in each round. As a result of therapy, it reduced self-defensiveness and initiated self-opening with its artistic activities, and facilitate natural interaction among the patients and reduced individual burden with the initiation of team works. Additionally, the work results gave some sense of personal fulfillment, thus clarified some positive effectiveness on the improvement of self-esteem and sociality in the patients.
금연교육 프로그램이 정신과 환자의 흡연행위에 미치는 영향

• Background: Alcoholics or youths who have given up education are at self negligence state. Therefore, they often can't not quit smoking, even though, they know that smoking is bad for their health. We help smokers, who do not have strong will power, to successfully quit smoking by rendering nicotine substitution treatment or other medicinal therapies. However, the success is ultimately dependant upon the self will power of the smoker. In this study, we intend to assess the effect of self will power on the success of guitting, by formulating and applying quit smokingprogram for inpatients, who have weak will powers. • Method : First, we formulated a quit smoking training program that we will render to the inpatients in psychiatric department of the hospital. We formulated two different programs one for adults and the other for youths. 1 month long programs were given in 4 occasions, then we had the program participants answer questionnaires, which would let us compare and analyze the questions on will for quitting. We made necessary adjustment to our quit smoking training program based on the result of survey analysis and re applied new program. Then, we analyzed the effect of this program on the changes in smoking behaviors. • Results : 48% of the youths and 7% of the adults, who participated in our quit smoking training program, have successfully quit smoking. Also, every participant, with an exception of 7% of adults, have experienced reducing the number of cigarettes per day. • Conclusions : Quit smoking programs for patients who lacks strong self will power must be prepared. And this program should be operated under hospital system because the environment will reinforce the participant's will for quitting.
정신질환자 인권증진을 위한 제도분석(1) : 강제 및 응급입원 제도

본 연구는 우리나라 정신질환자 인권증진을 위한 제도개선 및 방안을 마련하고자 수행되었으며, 인권 증진을 위한 국제적 흐름과 각국의 제도를 파악하며 우리나라 정신질환자 인권증진을 위한 제도개선에 대한 시사점을 찾고자 한다. 이에 본 고에서는 제도분석을 위한 첫 번째 단계로 각국의 강제 및 응급입원 제도를 소개하고자 한다.

Work is a very important in most people's adult life, and has personal, economic and social value. Therefore work affects a person's mental health, while in turn an employee's mental health affects the workplace. Mental health problems impact on various dimensions: individuals, their families and co-workers, organizations, and the broader community. We reviewed policies, such as WHO and ILO, and programs of mental health prevention and promotion in workplace; beyondblue National Workplace Program in Austrailia, EAP and Wellness Outreach at Work in US. Results of the programs have shown significantly: increases knowledge, decreases stigma, improves attitudes, increases confidence to assist someone to seek help. Two large United Nations agencies recommended that national police and program should assist employers and employees in raising awareness of the benefits of good mental health practices and encourage the implementation of strategies to maintain a healthy working environment. The findings suggest that messages need to be reinforced policy implementation to develop mental health prevention and various intervention programs in Korea.
미술치료 프로그램이 만성정신분열병 환자의 우울과 자아존중감에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to verify the effects of group art therapy program on self -esteem and depression in schizophrenic and to supply the basic data in chronic schizophrenic nursing. This study is similarity experiment research of one group pre and post-test design. Research targets were 10 inpatients in National Seoul Mental Hospital who agreed to the purpose of this study. Pretest were conducted at the first week and post-test were conducted after finishing 10 week program. The result of this study are as follows. First, the result showed that the score of depression reducing of experimental group have statistically significant level.(t=8.789, p=<.000) Second, the result showed that the score of self-esteem increased of experimental group have statistically significant level.(t=3.567, p=<.009) The result suggest that art therapy promoted chronic schizophrenic patients self-esteem and reduced their depression. Accordingly, group art therapy will be used as a useful tool for schizophrenic patients.
정신병원 유형별 간호조직문화 특성과 직무만족, 조직몰입 사이의 관련성 : 국립과 사립병원 비교연구

• Background : Nurses in mental hospital are play a important role in treating mental patients. Thus nursing organizational culture having a high influence on nurse job satisfaction and eventually organizational effectiveness. Although there has been a growing interest in the nurse organizational culture and organizational effectiveness , there was few research in healthcare organizations. The objective of this study is to explore the relationship between nurses' organizational culture and job satisfaction and organizational commitment. • Method : The study setting was two mental hospitals(one is public, the other is private) in Seoul and KyoungGi province. Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires. The study sample consisted of 322 hospital nurses. Among them, 169 samples are from national hospital and 153 ones are from private hospital. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to find the relationship of nurse's organizational culture, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. • Results : The major results of this study are as follows. Among the 7 characteristics of the nurse organization culture, the communication, motivation and leadership showed high correlation to job satisfaction and concentration of the work. • Conclusions : The nurse manager need to promote gradual change and to develop the guide for work and way to specialize and use them actively on the nurse organization.

With increasing numbers of immigrants, it is suggested mental health problems in immigrants are serious. Also it is reported that immigrants experience discrimination, ignorance, inappropriate treatment in mental health service. It means there are problems relevant to service provider in multicultural context. This study intended to review of cultural competence in mental health policy and cultural competence of education and training programs to provide mental health service adequate for immigrants culture in USA, UK, Australia. It is conclusion that for development of cultural competence in mental health workforce in Korea, it needs policy or plan of mental health workforce for immigrants, to develop manual for education and training of cultural competence, to provide training of cultural competence and exclusive organization to responsible for them.
