e-Trade can be defined as "trade activities exchanging goods and services among countries in an electronic and information-integrated way using information technologies such as Internet." In other words, it is the automation of complex trade procedures requiring huge amount of information processing and transmission using information technologies. Thanks to these environmental changes, workers in trade companies can focus on more productive tasks such as marketing or development of new markets instead of time-consuming paperworks and trips to administrative organizations. Korea started active researches and investments to improve the efficiency in international trade procedures in early days. Consequently, it has required comparative short period of time to have the advanced level of IT-enabled trade infrastructure to be accepted in real business environment in comparison with other countries. In addition to the proactive investments in public sector, the trade industry in Korea has effectively handled the fast-changing world trade conditions and the academia has continuously put efforts to build successful bridges between IT and trade fields. It is not exaggerated to say that Korea"s achievements so far in the economy and its trade competence are the results of the successful cooperation among three parties of industry, academy and government. In this paper, the research trends in e-Trade field are briefly examined and the tasks are proposed for the future. Also, u-Trade Hub, Korea"s e-Trade platform, is structurally analyzed and compared with other countries" trade environments.

This paper investigates macroeconomic theories" recent trend and challenges by surveying the articles published in domestic and foreign journals for the last decade. The main research fields discussed in the paper are monetary economics, financial crisis and open economy macroeconomics. As a result of reviewing the literature relating to the main research fields, it is found that, in general, suffering a series of economic and financial crises, the macroeconomic theories have substantially changed. For instance, the inflation targeting theory that has been supported by many macroeconomists is facing considerable criticism as a cause of provoking asset market bubbles. Also, going through financial crises, many macroeconomists start to pay attention to the financial sector which have been relatively ignored in the macroeconomics. Open economy macroeconomics dealing with exchange rates, global imbalance and international reserves etc. is also facing considerable challenges after recent crises, and it need to be complemented by a microeconomic approach.

Using third major tourism journals this paper is to review the trend of tourism research appeared in tourism journals in Korea and America. Since 1970, many universities have organized the department which related tourism and it developed very well. Many people also research identification for developing of tourism and trends. Therefore, this study analogized academic journal related foreign and domestic tourism and preceded a study for tourism of it"s developing with same point of view and suggest as following. First, academic characters of tourism have to figure out the character in terms of unified aspects as a tourism and simple practical science in a complex social science. Second, the people who study tourism attempt to approach through certain understanding in similar study fields. Third, the academy study will contribute to social development through various studies. It helps ideology to value policy, culture, environment, ecology, and medical approach of similar studies Finally, this research intend to open-end sharing information from undeveloped countries, Asia and Europe. It will be better than only study based on United State.

Using 10 years of publication data(2000-2009) from the Korean Journal of International Business, we examine patterns of global business research. International business research has made enormous strides in the quarter century since Journal of International Business Studies(JIBS) was inaugurated in the United States. This article reflects upon the development of Korean IB research during early 2000s. We first review the findings and recommendations of the articles, then discuss the trends and forecasting prospects of international business firms. The article concludes with calls for more topics about global nature-friendly management, fair-trade and sweatshop issues for the near future.
